22/03/2018.My Experience /Latest Update As It Relate To Document Authentication At MFA and UAE Embassey At Abuja

First of all respect to all the wonderful people here who takes their time to give out very important informations here and also answer questions. I tell you this is one of the best forum we have in Nairaland. We should try also to give out updated informations. What I have observed is some of us work through an agent and we give informations based on what our agents tells us and that is absolutely wrong. Informations that should be broadcasted here should be our personal/direct experience with the instututions involves and if we have to give out informations based on our experience with our agents, please lets specify that in bold.

As much as possble, people should on their own read and make thier own investigations and ask question.

On 20/03/2018, I made photocopy of my International pp and took 4photo passport with me and head to Alagbo,F.C.I.D at Ikoyi-Lagos. I got there at about 9am. Talked to an officer what I have come to to do (Getting my PCC) the officer introduced me to another officer who is in charge. He gave me a form to fill, demande for my photocopy of my pp and one passport,I filled the form, did biometric scanning and in less than 1hr30min and done and it cost me #5000. The officer told me I also have to go to Abuja FORCE headquaters for then to confirm the originality of the document.

22/03/2018 at about 9:30am I was at MFA (Please note,at MFA, We have proffessional or coporate taut, some are low level staffs who works in the secateriate, they will want to corner you to do the process for you, charging you outrageous fees) as much as possible pls avoid them. I went into the office (MFA-Document Authentication Office) and I was told to Authenticate My PCC,it'll cost me #600 because, I've to authenticate the PCC certificate and the finger print form (#300each, making #600).

The MFA-staff directed me to go to a busniess centre and get a printout (I guess they have arrangement with the busniess centre) that cost me #200 then,I took the printout to Union bank close by to make payment of #600 with #100 bank charge. After that I took the payment slip back to MFA and I was givem a form to fill and and my PCC was collected, including photocopy of the PCC which I did earlier. I Was asked to go back and come back by 3pm or wait at the visitors room till 3pm. Note by 1pm they stop collecting doc and the taut again spring into actions, charging ppl as high as #3000-4500 to help them. At about 3pm sharp one of the MFA staff came to the office with all our documents and collections started. NOTE : You are meant to check your doc, make sure the MFA seal and signature is there.(pls,NOTE: if you are attesting any school certificate gotten here in Nigeria, you MUST first attest it in MOE or else MFA wont accept it)

After collecting my PPC at MFA,I headed to Zone 11,at the secateriate, thats were we have the Police head quaters in Abj. Went to PCC dept, they confirmed my PCC I got from Lagos, signed on a piece of paper and date and attached it to my PCC (NOTE: without this UAE Embassey will not accept your PCC) This process cost me #500.

I was abt heading to UAE embassey at about 4pm when I was told the embassey closes by 12noon and they work from Monday-Thursday. so I'll be heading to the embassey on Monday 26/03/2018. .......stay tunned for the concluding part of my first hand expirence.........

KESHYLOVE:
Good day my pipo, pls this one goes out to all the security gurus out there, am having issues with my company, I came with direct employment, by the end of this month I will be 9months in this company, still they have not done DPS/SIRA training for mi or most of us in fact, despite repeated mails to management, now they want mi to become supervisor in a new contract they are expecting, I asked about DPS again and they told mi to start first, that they will renew my 3months permit card den later dey can send mi for DPS.....
And besides no salary increment...they are still paying mi aed1200.
Also they paid us our salaries via envelopes this month, saying they have issues with the bank....imagine!!!
Pls this is giving mi too much tension, in my current position, what are my best options?

1. Kindly confirm the job written on your employment visa/contract. cos some company employ people as cleaners/housekeepers while making them do Security jobs at same pay. in a way of cheating the system as MOL wouldn't accept any Security contract with a total of 1200 as salary.

2. I believe you can verify your contract from MOL by calling them, then u can know if you are being cheated.

3. As for the DPS/SIRA, if they don't enroll you, don't be worried as even if The police get hold of u working as a security without being SIRA/DPS Certified, the fine goes to the company and not to you.

4. Having a new contract after 9 Months? This part i don't understand again. seems your firm are up to something else. are you sure you have not been working on a Visit Visa? and now they want to give you a proper employment. Maybe you need to add some clarity so i wouldn't be making wrong assertion here.

Hello house, thanks be to God I reached Dubai last Monday. Sorry for late update, was trying to ballance up myself.
It was a great journey, but shocked to see the kind of life people are living here, it very cost to live a convinient life here, I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just trying to tell what I've seen so far.

Anyway life here is manageable if you're determined, but I think for people who never live that kind of life might be shock as well.
But no matter how hard it is, some people has been destined to be successful here, while some are not. Most of stories I'm hearing from people here is "they never tell me this is how it is" "If I had known I would have not come".

What I see is that people that call themself agents are just like people like us who find their way to reach up there, and they lie a lot to make people come over so they can make their own money through that. Most people don't end up to same work they came over to do because they never tell them all the requirements.
Like people who came here to drive, after paying for everything including RTA training, you still need a sum of 500,000 naira to obtain a driver license with a full concentrations if you don't wanna fail and be sent back home. Imagine you never know this and you came over, and nobody to give that to you, then you will end up doing penny penny job to save up, while you have to pay for rents every months and eat as well.

My advice to you is that, be sure of whatever you're coming here to do and confirm all the requirements if you're coming on direct employment visa, especially if you sponsor yourself.

Also people who are coming on tourist visa, don't think you can only get work by searching, you need connection or money to buy work from people, or else you will walk tired and house rent will be counting.

This is my own exeperienced so far, don't blame me if it is different from yours, I live in Abu Hail, a place full of Cameroonian and other countries like Kenya, I'm planing of moving out to somewhere else as soon as I start working.

Yes 11 or 12 months, but I dont think it has a certain time for it to come out this days. As what I've seen here, there are companies here that has license to recruit people for work, for any company that need workers, and also agents that provide workers for this recruiter also has license, so every one can connect with agents they know to get someone they know work from Nigeria or any part of the world.

I know someone here who colleceted money from someone in Nigeria to process employment visa for him, they've suitted everything for a while, but never hear anything from the recruiter office, they always tell them it will soon be ready, it's not this guy's fault but the person in Nigeria will never understand.

This recruiter are the one that will give the agents the application number or temporary visa when it's ready, and that's what you will take to Abuja embassy for the remaining process.

Thank you my brother......So sorry for late reply....
1. The job on my employment visa is guard
2.my contract at MOHRE via checking with the app, is guard also, but my basic salary there is showing 900aed as basic....
3. Thanks, but we have had cases in this company where the mgt shift the fine to the guards n started deducting it from their salary
4. I meant the firm, won a new contract; I have a valid Emirates I'd, I have had for months now to expire in 2019
5. A case like this, who handles it, labour or sira?
If I decide to refuse to work, how does it look like?
Pls I want to know as much as I can, and the best/worst outcomes of this situation. Thanks
