Credible bridge with 8 lanes with interchange and spreading over 4-way highways with multiple lanes...

As far as the eye can see

This is massive

Not your village 0.28km mediocre crossing bridge to imaginary oil field.

Now, my question is, how come we don't see grand and massive projects like these in Anambra? Why is that all you people post from Anambra are always marginal and mediocre projects?

If it's not 1 year old falling apart tinny flyover, it's keke ambulance and now you are beating chest with a measly .028 km crossing bridge?

Why?
Re: Governor Willie Obiano Inspects Work On 280 Meter Bridge Leading To Oilfields by deomelllo: 2:40pm On Mar 10, 2018
@ OP.

Jokes apart.

Going by your threads and posts seems you love your state and you'd love for us to see real, massive and quality infrastructures in your state, but the fact is, your governors have nothing serious or laudable to show hence you on NL always posting substandard and mediocre rubbish.

Your governors obviously have a poor vision when it comes to projects and developments, they have nothing serious on the ground for you to brag with and instead of you always running to NL to show off these mediocrities, lean on them, pressure them to do better, let them give something worthwhile to show off with.

You don't have to keep accepting every mediocre rubbish and run off to NL to show off.

If you are going to keep beating chest that you are the best, then justify it with the best projects and infrastructures.

You cannot keep posting these below par rubbish when other states are delivering way way better projects and expect to taken seriously

It's really disheartening.

@deomello, I wouldn't want to interfere but I think that the length of a bridge is determined by the width of the river it passes across as the case may be. I don't think that the bridge should be unnecessarily long for no just cause. BTW, you shouldn't also be judging the bridge now since it might still be under construction and inspection.

Point well taken.

It's perfectly ok to post the project as is without adding to it what it doesn't have or needlessly labeling an ordinary 0.28km bridge MASSIVE?

I know people love to show off and praise their governors, but this is nothing to beat chest with or even label massive, that was pure silliness and the fact that we've been seeing a lot of mediocre projects from anambra doesn't help matters

Your anger is because your state is still a rural area. Stop envying. Someone that did this does not have big vision and taste, according to you.

A cursory look at the debt profile of states proves that Obiano is the best because he has achieved so much without indebting the state.

The reason why anambra cannot build anything massive or worthwhile

It's the state budget. It is too small to do anything with. Anmabra's budget is one of the lowest in Nigeria, their budget for 2017 was measly N117 billion? What can you do with N117 billion? That's just for salaries and nothing serious.

I know the OP love to spew rubbish about anambra and low debt? This is a case of pennywise pound foolish. You don't have money to grow and develop, but you are falling behind, you are dishing out keke ambulance in 2018, you are commissioning projects like flyovers that are crumbling just after 1 year even though such structures are normally made to last for 30 years.

Obiano is the only governor in Nigeria today commissioning boreholes left and right when the rest of the country are building modern waterworks.

If you don't have a strong economy to generate tens of billions in IGR/month and your allocations are almost nothing, what do you do to develop? You borrow to transform and grow your economy and build massive infrastructures to create jobs and attract investments from inside and outside.

I know many ignorant jokers run around NL shouting debt this and debt that, but news flash, no Nation or society on the surface of the earth can develop or ever developed without debt.

N117 billion is what really? Salary only and a few substandard projects here and there like we see from anambra everyday.

You think you are making sense with the debt nonsense, but, in fact, you sound foolish and backward.
