“A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband”
– the qualities of a beautiful and diligent
virtuous woman
In the light of what is happening today, Virtue
is an essential ingredient required for peaceful
coexistence within a community. Virtue is an
undisputed character a person possesses that
make him/her friendly and loveable.
“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price
is far above rubies.” – KJVB
The above quote ended with a question mark.
This shows that they are few, when viewing
the population of the world.
Her price tag is higher than rubies; more
costly than diamond. She is far worth than any
Precious stone, above any imaginable gift.

marriage
Such a woman is well known in her
Community or working place. The society
recognizes her lifestyles. Her friend celebrates
her. Her Husband honors her. Her Children are
proud of her accomplishments.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE VIRTUOUS?

However, girls should stop being naive.I don't like the idea of unwanted pregnancies.

She went thru with the pregnancy ....unwanted pregnancy = abortion....that's different from unplanned pregnancy.

@ topic..... I guess the message in all this is you should make decisions for the paths you take in life. It's sad that she has taken Nigeria to top in the sport so many times but the authorities do not support nor give her the recognition she deserves.

Keep on keeping on Funke. Please, don't give up. Sooner than you expect, providence will smile on you. Am encouraged by your story. It is very educative. God Almighty will some day cause the government to remember all your labour of patriotism & you will be adequately compensated!

Liftedhands:

Doc thorpido don't put the blame on girls alone! A pregnancy becomes unwanted cos the guy( in most instances) is scared of his responsibility.

Ishilove:

The pregnancy didn't enter there on its own
I know it's the responsibility of the guy and the lady but usually the guys will bolt and the lady is left to determine if she's terminating it or not. It's often a tough decision to keep it and may derail education or careers most times and that's why I want the ladies to protect their own sides more.

She was born in the '70s and got pregnant in 2003. She most likely would have been in her late twenties or even early thirties, at that time. Maybe the guy promised her heaven and earth, as well as all the love in between the universe, so that was why she let her guard down, thinking he would marry her. sad

Anyway, I am impressed by her determination to succeed and her ability to keep pressing on, despite the various challenges thrown in her direction. I salute her courage. Funke Oshonaike, is an icon of inspiration! cool

She most likely got pregnant for a coach or a sports financier and that explains why she must have let down her guards.
Kudos to her for pressing on.

The man in question probably didn't accept it so it was unwanted.
I agree with what you wrote though.

Yoruba women are something else. They are one of the reasons Nigeria might still have hope.

Meanwhile some women from that other side only specialize in sexing cucumber.
