Hi house,
Though I have posted this in another the POE interview page for the U.S, it will be helpful to post as a new topic too to help travellers to make up their mind on whether or not to use Travel Start

So, I travelled to Chicago with Qatar and TravelStart sold me the ticket- a Fleixible Ticket - it's a higher class of economy ticket that allows you the flexibility of at least one free ticket date change. Sometimes you still pay to change your dates on this ticket but you pay way lesser than on a non-Flexi ticket. I paid 550k instead of the regular economy price of 430k for Chicago route.

Got to the States, just before my return travel date was due ( I already wanted to stay a few more days to do shopping etc after my conference there ) so I called TravelStart to choose a new return date. I was told that no seats were available for at least 2 weeks and that I had to pay 150k extra to even change the date. I was bewildred. I checked Qatar Airways online and they have more than 20 seats on Flexi Economy even for the very next day. I ran to O'Hare Int'll Airport to Qatar Airways desk to lay and was shocked to find out from them that TravelStart did not sell a Flexi-Economy ticket to me initially but a regular economy ticket with little or no flexibility for changes. TravelStart just collected my money like that o. To make it worse Qatar told me that because of the kind of ticket sold to me any changes has to be made by TravelStart. They confirmed that they had more than enough seats to Lagos even for the next one month!
My people, TravelStart insisted that the Airline charges was 150k for a new date and that I was sold a Flexi -Ticket. They insisted that i was wrongly informed at Qatar Desk in Chicago. Imagine! I had 2 options - pay the 150k " difference" or buy another full ticket again! So I transferred Travel Start the 150k from my account, ticket was emailed by Travel Start to me and something tells me to run back to Qatar Front Desk at O'Hare Airport to re-confirm again.
Qatar confirms the new date change alright but told me that Travel Start had put given me a ticket with more than 18hrs lay-over in Qatar meaning that it will take me at least almost 3 days to finally arrive Lagos. To top it off the Airline revealed to me that I was supposed to pay 50k to TravelStart for a date change and not 150k. They printed a receipt of the payment to them from TravelStart and it shows N50k.
To add salt to injury again I was still sent same regular economy ticket again.
The airline managed to get me on a Qatar flight with just 5 hours lay-over in Qatar instead the 18 hours by TraveLStart then told me to collect my 100k difference back from the travel agent. Up till now TravelStart is denying that they paid 50k to Qatar, they're also denying that they sold a regular economy ticket to me instead of the Flexible ticket that i paid for. From my calculations - with the initial ticket and the extra money paid by me to them they owe me almost 250k but have still not paid.

Guys be careful. Try wakanow.com or go directly to the Airline.

A friend of mine had a terrible experience with them last week.

He rescheduled his flight and had to pay an extra #184,000.

It was a bitter experience for him because he initially received a quotation for #138,000 and while he was running round trying to raise the money, the quotation jumped to #184,000 overnight.

Imagine paying over #500,000 for a flight that presently costs #344,000 on the Travelstart website.

That company is a scam. Nigerians need to be aware of this. Imagine telling me that the carrier airline was lying to me about the info that was given to me when I was shown hard evidence. They are not even talking about refunding my 250k at all. That money would have made a lot of difference to my travel budget. Making money isn't easy after all. They are scammers and should be exposed

I also fell victim of them last year when traveling to Johannesburg. I had to change my flight for 75k instead of just $100 which is the regular no show fee on South Africa airways. Why are we always like this? Best thing is to buy directly from the airline

No need to pay for Flight bookings anymore. Briscon travel agency will give you an original flight booking for your visa application at a cheap price.
The flight ticket can be verified on the airline website.
Drop your details Incase you need assistance with this

Travel start is a big scam as said here. They scammed me too in 2018, though I had to sue them to recover my money. They asked me to pay 305k to change date while the original ticket was sold for 394k. Their customer relation is terrible.

I have also had bitter experience with them, booking two flights and Turkish Airlines canceled the flight but Travelstart won't refund me 550k for a flight from Lagos to Dubai. Does anyone have experience with ng.Travel2be.com

Not only are Travelstart scammers, they do not pick calls. They do not respond to emails. Your WhatsApp number is machine, and they close all access by 5pm and leave you completely stranded. Avoid Travelstart for the sake of your life.

Please try and be adding the link to their website so we don't get scammed by their clones. That will even be worse.
