O tiny creature with narrow wings
You come bearing fangs not visible
Buzzing all around and creating dings
And making my hisses become audible

O annoying and irritating parasite
That makes the skin itchy and swell
Your fangs bring pain like snakebite
Leaving me no option but to yell

O ever present annoying neighbour
You come in heat and in Harmattan

And when around all you do is belabor
Always finding a way through my caftan

O insect with a clear night vision
I wonder how you sense my presence
Though I hate you with great passion
Yet you draw close in great pleasance

O great gang of midget titans
How you cause sleepless nights
Your trouble when I sleep heightens
And my body you feast on like mites

O strident beast that roams and dwell
You roam freely around my repellent
And my insecticide you make a chapel
Occupying nooks and crannies in amusement

O what a small-fry creature that you are
And yet able to force me into tucked net
Though sleeping under tucked net I abhor
But I am compelled because you make me fret

O bringer of disease and possible death
It is not the painful bite and buzzing I fear
But that if allowed you can take away breath
This is why I prevent your bite when you appear
