someone working for 8 years without plan B. He should start business as u suggested and I blv that's the best option. You can't keep working under people for long without making use of your wages to establish yourself.

Someone I know just got a job with AIICO. There are several insurance companies that are recruiting everyday. Nothing good comes easy. Your hubby should go to one of those companies today, he will surely be employed if he does this. He should go out more. Best of luck.

Someone above said something about not "wandering around like a Fulani cow" . please that is wrong advice. Let him "wander around" if need be,until he gets a job. Going out at times, helps. Sitting indoors and expecting a miracle might not help much. My friend had his masters in Economics in the UK, after working as a Senior Administrative staff in Nigeria. Returned after MSc, no job, because he had resigned from his previous role. Had to do insurance marketing job for a commission when he returned, did Cstomer service, etc. He currently got a job meant for an Ordinary Diploma holder and earns about 50k. He just wanna get out of home each day, get new ideas, see opportunities and meet people, enrich his CV, until he gets his dream job or starts a business from God's help. At times, the devil is not our problem; our pride is. Aiico insurance, first bank insurance, and many MORE keep recruiting for marketers. Let him start from there. The ecosystem we live in is a very tough one, even for the successful it is tough. I have contributed my own, you can also locate him and buy provision for him based on your view. That is your own help but this is the help I can offer. I have hustled and made something out of my life from nothing, that is what the world needs, not people who use their situation as an excuse to become a liability to others. I have friends that are in worse of situation than this guy, they have refused to be depressed despite immense pressure and joblessness.

I think either your husband is not good at saving or you guys wasted the earnings of those 8 years and which ever way, it is childish for him to contemplate suicide.

Nobody ever said anything is constant except change itself. He should not belittle God afterall he had work before and I don't see why this fuze.

You think our economy is like that of America and canada where it is easy to save just like that. He might have had savings but that could have been channelled to children's school fees, bills, feeding,etc for the period that he has been off work.

How much was he even earning to be able to cater for family and also save an amount that will sustain him for years?

In developed countries,children's fees are handled by the government, there is constant electricity, good roads, affordable health care in public hospitals.

But if you have to pay NEPA biil and still buy fuel for generator, repair your car often because of bad roads, pay for better health care in a private hospital and pay school fees, buy books on a meagre salary, even if both husband and wife are working, please how much can you save? Not forgetting house rent.

It takes working for longer years and getting upgraded to be able to settle all this. His savings might be in pensions also.

So please before you make the man seem like a no good, you should think deep and try to put yourself in his shoes.

Lol. It is just crazy, if I was the guy I would go to companies I can market and enter marketing contracts with them. Select the businesses I want to target properly and deploy my skills to earn commissions. No business will turn down an opportunity to earn more at no upfront cost.

I know people in that Lagos that earn over a million monthly from simply being marketing partners.

There's a reason few people are successful. Nobody wants to do the back breaking work. You want de air-conditioned office de drink tea.

My boss first stocked 5000 birds at point of lay using the deep litter system ( The birds were kept on the floor and laid in boxes) after which he introduced the cages so as to have a higher stocking capacity in order to drop production costs and increase profits. But like a twinkling of an eye, everything just went off like that.
