Why isn't the tiger the king of the jungle?

Even though a fully grown tiger is stronger bigger and more fierce than a fully grown lion, it's not called the king of the jungle because it's a solitary animal
A king must have subjects and wives to protect and service. The lion is a social animal with rules and regulations but tigers live all by themselves

I also think may be due to the ROAR of the lion and its tenacity to bring confusion among its prey, (though the tiger does that as well) I feel the kingly presence of the lion makes it the king

calling Lion the king of the jungle is quite wrong, Lions do not live in Jungles, they live in Savanna grass lands.
Tigers on the other hand, are the kings and queens of the jungle.

Question is who gave the title that Lion is the king of the jungle whereas they don't dwell in the jungle but Savannah grassland

from what I read some where although I don't really know if it is true but a lion being the king of the jungle started from Africa based on the fact that lion is the biggest and strongest predator in the African jungle hence the title

lion is called a king of the jungle cuz its protective... it's stays with its wives and live in one den. if a lion wants something it's goes to any extent of getting that thing

while the tiger lives on their own and gets angry Wen they see another tiger getting into its territory

Actually dia are different reasons some might say dey have a pride consisting of various lionesses and lions etc in which de male protects it's territory while the female hunts..

But one thing is dia fearless attitude... A lion can attack anything once it decides to do it... Unlike Tigers and co dat only attacks just for food. A lion comes into a cheetahs territory and kills de children for food if the said lion feels like it and eats the meat if it feels like unlike the odas dat kill only for food.
