For how long will u guyz be waved with ignorant winds? If unilorin will conduct post-utme, they would have announce it earlier b4 they concluded that there won't be post-jamb. Or do u think the Senate Meeting is like that of Tenant Meetings held anywhere, anytime, anyday & change decision anyhow? If they would finally change their mind to conduct post-utme, then they will surely reach u through their webpage. I hear this today, he heard that tomorrow will only inflate your hypertensiveness, and if u die of hypertension, unilorin is never boarded.

What we should focus on now, is when it will be conducted.


However, the 5 best subjects we filled may be calculated as thus:

A1=6
B2=5
B3=4
C4=3
C5=2
C6=1

so that, if you have A1 in a subject, it will be computed as thus: 6 times your 5 best subjects i.e 6x5=30 times 2. You have 60 points already.


the rest, do the maths.

IFKUNLE: If u were refering to interview, then u are stil wrong. According to the news on the website, it ends by saying ', while all provisionally admitted students will be interview thereafter'. so the interview is not meant for all. As for ur calculations on A1,B2,, C6, u are still gallantly wrong, na u dey use calculator, admission officer no wori abt 2 * 2, u don't have to argue cos i'll enlighten u. According to the Chief Admission Officer of the University of Ilorin (who happens to be a fat woman), the admission script process goes thus. After candidates had registered & the portal had being closed, candidates files titled by their names containing their details will be arranged systematically in a folder categorised dept by dept and it ranks from the highest JAMB SCORER to the lowest. After then the shortlisting starts by the H.O.D of each dept and his/her colleagues b4 if goes to the admission office to prepare the admission list & COMSIT finally publish it on the sch website. What i'm infering to is that, ur jamb score is ur facial attraction to the admission officers i.e it's ur 1st consideration, b4 u talk of A1 or C6. So if they want to start selecting candidates name for admission, it starts frm the top. Obviously, it should be believed that people with higher o'level grades stands a better chance of being admitted ahead of a candidate with low grades but will at the same time have a high jamb score over the latter candidate. I'm a very good example, i got admitted wit 'C' parallel in my neco result. A1s, B3s with little C4 dominates my waec results but i had D7 in english so i have to use dat of neco. i was admitted ahead of a friend who is loaded with ''A" & "B". My name came out on the 1st list but his on the 2nd list. So don't worry abt, if u alot of C6, just make sure u had all ur required subject pending u have a high jamb score, then u are already admitted.

I believe you have a valid information becos you rightly describe the Chief Admission Officer, I know her in person very well (she cut her hair and have facial mark) but didnt talk to her about admission ,  Keep it up guy!

Big_Bug_Ben, U are mouthed. Argument is not in my way of life. I'm not here to confuse or cajole anybody. What you wrote maybe true, but i take it that; Unilorin may want to copy U.I. the argument is that; if U.I conducted interview before admisison, then let's all candidates prepare for interview before admission just to be on the safer side. But, considering the phrase "while all provisionally admitted students will be interviewed thereafter" one begins to question this argument. I will make sure i re-read the advert on the site and then revert.

UNILORIN BREAKING NEWS: the Chief Accountant of the University of Ilorin on sunday said to me dat an emergency Senate Meeting was held last Friday which centered on Post-UTME. He told me alot of tins dat were discussed bt i'll say d major story. He said D V.C explained why d post-utme is so necessary.
he said there were too much qualified candidate based on their JAMB SCORE, & he was very sure dat atleast 40% of d top scorers mst hav won their points tru malpractices in 1 or 2 ways & wil ultimately lead to d dumping of serious & one minded candidates.
2ndly, he said eliminating d post-utme is a form of digression, devalution & compromisatn of d sch admission standard which was never one of his points of agenda, bt sum of d senate members objected to d idea cos it was very late but the V.C try to compell & stood on his ground to endorse d commencement of d post-utme. He Said "THE POST-JAMB MUST TAKE EFFECT SOONEST"
NOTE: this's just a spike cos it's not directly from the school publication, & most likely to be true.

EVERYBODY: frm d V.C's speech, it's lik 50% of d admission qualification wil be based on post-utme. So u hav 2 work extra miles & pray. Wel, i'll say d post-utme questions are nt always tough for an average student, bt very tricky & technical cos it's very easy to make mistakes especially with english & I.Q test question. Just be calm, settle down & read d questions & options atleast twice. U must also be fast as d time is very limited. Last yr, d test was of 40 questions (which constitute abt 20 eng, 5 maths, 5 current affairs, & 10 I.Q. questions) under 20mins on CBT. Last yr, d post-utme CUTTOFF marks were as follow: MEDICINE & ACCOUNTING = 70%, All those DEPARTMENT dat their JAMB cutoff were stated as 220 dis year, their Post-UTME cuttoff were 60% last year (except ACCOUNTING) but 4 all other COURSES, it was 50%.
Note: anyone dat scored below 50% in d post-utme is nt guarantee of admission atall. The Post-UTME NEWs & procedures should be on d unilorin page on Thursday noon, but latest on Friday evening, just kip checking. GOODLUCK!

C ME OO: Thanks 4 d confirmation, d woman also happen to be from Kogi State but got married a Kwaran. There are alot of things i know about unilorin but i wouldn't want to display them on an opened page like this. c-me-oo, I also wonder oo about that Mr. ENGINEER, i can even name almost all the names of the H.O.Ds & Deans and their respective post, so don't waste ur time scamming pple here. Infact, how would u display the fone number of a school top official like that. I have the fone of the 2nd Deputy V.C, Chief Accountant, Chief Busar, Two Admission Officers, & so many Senior & Junior lecturers. So, it's stupid for me to paste them here for whatever reason.
LAGOS BASE CANDIDATE: The Chief Accountant of the sch, whom i told u abt will held that of LAGOS CENTER for d Post-UTME. He has a grey hair with a slite bald held, he is tall & huge. He uses, New 504 Model & Honda but he's likely to go to lagos with 504. So if u can hijack & approach him for help, best of luck, i won't give u his name & fone number.
GUYZ: I'm also a candidate ooo. Although already a Bus. Admin student but re-applying for Accounting. I applied for accounting last year but was droped to Bus. Admin b'cos i scored 67% so, i didn't meet up wit d post-jamb cuttoff for accounting which was 70%. I'm Just too determined to be an accountant. Don't wonder too much abt d numbers of my connection to what i got last yr, it's just everytin has to be devine & being on MERIT is to be on a Bestter side. Please when did unilorin will activate 2nd Choice registration on their website? I BEG help me to confirm whether there is hope for me, because I choose unilorin as second choice in my Utme exam. Their website still not yet accepting second choice and the closing date is 15th August 2010. And unilorin is the only hope that remains as admission option for me this year. And If you have any other link to get me registered, please let me know for God sake because the age is not on my side again.

It's only medicine that d cut-off is 70%(not 100% sure),others including accounting is 50%,i'm a unilorin student of d dept of accounting & finance and we were admitted last yr with d cut-off 50% and above,i personally scored 60% last yr,some of ma friends scored 54,52,66,79 etc,though u could be told by some officials of d university dt d cut off 4 some courses like accounting,finance,economics etc is 70%,but d truth about it is that any score is eligible 4 any course i.e 50% and above so don't feel depressed if u score 50s or 60s,all wat u need is prayers and connectns but praying is more important.Good luck,better by far students 2 be.
