Final year student dropping out cos of 120k, isn't that madness, are there not things you can do to find money instead being an educational waste.
you didn't read the post right? what kinda job can you suggest he should do while schooling to enable him pay such an outrageous school fee?
He's a guy not a girl, so he's got no hole to sell.

Attack the government not the innocent guy

Greetings sirs,

It is lamentably pitiable that I'm writing this with tears in my eyes and with a sorrow-filled mind.

I Eniolorunopa_Collins a 400l student of Agricultural Extension, hereby write to inform you that I'm done with education at this stage the school fee has gone outrageous.

Let me quickly hark back to how I do pay for the fee then, My father(a retired civil servant) & My mother(on and off trader) has paid for my school fee just once ever since I've started schooling. My sister and I struggled to pay twice and now that I'm almost done schooling it's so melancholy that I just have to drop out as there is no hope on this earth to pay for that exorbitant amount twice before I become a graduate.

I'm not laying emphasis on this to seek for help to further my education but to get you informed how I made it thus far,,,, where I come from? *From the Gutter*(that area where meeting up with 3square meals is a sin,, that area where you have to stay up late at night and wake up very early every morning to get going with the daily struggle,,,that area where laughter is wild and rare).

Thanks for the knowledge you've imparted on me during my stay in AAUA as it will really help me to be my own boss in agribusiness.

If there is one way you could help me, just give me the amount worth paying for the exorbitant fee twice then I start up with it *NOT TO PAY FOR THE SCHOOL FEE* But to project into the future.

I'm so sure many of my *faculty* and *departmental mates* are also on the verge of quitting because that amount is just too *enormous* and *it is poisonous* We really can't afford it; *we are so poor and we can't keep up*

God be with you till we meet again!!!

*GOODBYE* *(O di igba kan na!!!)*

the course is a 5yr course. plus a lot of people go through a lot. While in school, I know of someone who was constantly hungry. our (ABU Zaria) school fees was ₦19750. It was still difficult for him to pay.

Lazy boy. So he can't write a letter requesting a year out, to work hard and raise money to finish school. No one said life was easy.

A lot of blacks are just mentally lazy and always looking for a handout. As if university education is not expensive everywhere else in d world. Even homeless pple figure a way out. Once there's a will, there's a way.

I'm certain if d guy were to be a curvy slay queen , she'd av been calculating extra cash over her real fees by now... Imagine, a lady said she never celebrate her birthday. In few hours, she counted over N300k donations or thereabout.

Whr are those guys DT form generosity who give car keys to ladies like handkerchief. We need u here too.

In Nigeria with unemployed graduates roaming the streets regretting why they wasted their time, money and effort pursuing useless papers? Even in developed countries, there are so many ways they are encouraging indigent students to have higher education.
Do you even take second to ask yourself where this money will end up? It will be looted by the VC, school management and the government. That school will still remain in the same ten years to come.

That's institutional problem, and its everywhere in Nigeria.

What are you saying? education isnt cheap, in a state where majority of the parents are civil servant and this same baron of incompetence man has refused to pay their salary for couple of months now... How on earth do you expect them to get that type of money, this are things that causes defiant behavior and senseless destruction of people.. APC days are numbered in that state.

My problem isn't even the fee, it's what becomes of the youth after struggling to see yourself through school.

Even though I have been an avid reader of nairaland since i was gifted my small android phone, I had to register after reading Collins story.
like collins I am from the "gutters" too, a fresher to same institution... Having struggled so hard to pay the acceptance fee of 51,000 naira, I wonder where my poor widowed mum and I will find the money for this kind of school fee. Unlike Collins I might be dropping out even before starting. embarassed
