Sowore is my age mate. Actually, we were in Unilag around same period, though I and my friends were both Idi-Arabites and Akokites. Sowore was an Akokite.

Funny enough, my class mates were the group doing their house-job in LUTH in 1994/1995 when he was rushed in to A & E after he was attacked by cultists and injected with some unknown toxic substance. I was doing my house job in General Hospital, but squatting with my guys in LUTH. I didn’t like the accommodation in GH, Broad Street.

I remember two of my guys, one is now based in Canada, rushing back to our bunk to tell us there was a VIP patient who was under heavy protection by LUTH’s authority. They told us the VIP had to be moved quickly to an unknown ward to protect his identity. One went back to investigate further and confirmed the patient to be Omoyele Sowore.

Now, that was just a background information.

There’s no point writing about Sahara Reporters. The summary is that the online media is effectively the most potent weapon against Nigeria’s insanely corrupt ruling class. Sowore has used this platform to disrupt the looting activities of those evil politicians for several years now. They detest him with passion.

This update was prompted by my frustration whenever I read the stuff written about Sowore by some Nigerian youths born in the late 80s and early 90s.

This group of Nigerian youths are probably the most endangered species. They are the most unfortunate as well. They did not even see nor smell the glorious past in Nigeria. At least, our generation enjoyed the left-overs. My generation had free education up to University level. Yes, pretty much free. Many students from obscenely wretched backgrounds were able to get through university without much stress. Many of them have abandoned Nigeria after the evil politicians successfully turned it into a shithole.

My generation paid peanuts to access education, including medical schools. In US and UK you would be in debt of about $100k. We paid farthing, but went on to piss on Nigeria and gave our skills to US, Canada, Australia and U.K. The same is applicable in virtually all other professions, nursing, IT and technology, education, Science etc. You can’t blame those who left. Why should I use my skills to serve pathological thieves like Dino and Saraki? Or Jagaban who has stripped Lagos of all dignity? Or that irresponsible Alfa Shittu, who should be in jail but boasting about his nonsense political career which has added nothing to Nigeria’s development?

I engaged one of those 80s generation youth recently. He referred to Sowore as an opportunist. I was pained. I was really pained because he wrote it like someone who is an authority on Sowore. I demanded to know his age in 1991 when Sowore was fighting alongside Gani and Falana to liberate Nigeria from IBB and his evil cabal. My friend was a toddler. A toddler who now pretends to be an authority on Sowore.

Some of the 80s and 90s youth are currently the most vicious supporters of those evil geriatrics who have turned their generation into a wasted generation. They are all over Twitter acting as experts on subs and all kind of stupid stuff that trend online. They have no future because Saraki is not interested in building any. He’s busy scheming to be President. Even Buhari is confused. The members of BMC are the same wasted 80s and 90s generation.

What can we do to save this 80s and 90s generation? The geriatrics messed up our own generation, but we at least got some leftovers. This children of 80s and 90s had nothing. Their future in Nigeria is effectively wasted. But they don’t seem to understand anything. They are continuously fighting against their own interests.

How do you help a generation who is hopelessly ignorant and doing everything against their own interests?

You and Sowore are deluded. Nigeria is but the fraudulent creation of the Whiteman. Nigeria is the coming together of ethnic groups who have nothing in common and that is why it cannot work, no matter who is President. Biafra is the only saviour.
