A MANCHESTER CITY fan has lost his wife for a week after betting his missus on the outcome of the derby with United, according to reports.
Amani Stanley put his other half on the line in a bet with Shilla Tony, who backed Jose Mourinho’s men.
The loser had to surrender their spouse for a whole week and Paul Pogba’s brace and Chris Smalling’s late winner secured a win for Stanley.

As reported by Kenya’s Nairobi News, the contract read: “I hereby promise to give away my wife for an entire week to my brother Tony Shilla if Manchester City doesn’t win the league title against Manchester United.

“I’m of sound mind and I’ve not been coerced into this agreement.”

Man United midfielder Ander Herrera revealed an inspiring half-time team talk from Ashley Young sparked the comeback.
The converted full-back was assisted by Michael Carrick in delivering a rousing speech that triggered a second-half resurrection.

Herrera said: “Everyone was talking but of course the oldest guys with the most experience — Ash, Mike — were in the dressing room.
They have power in their words. We just talked about the pride, about the club, this club — you can never underestimate it.

“We didn’t talk too much about tactics, just about our pride.

“Our pride on the pitch and that our fans were going to have a difficult night if we got beaten.

“We did it for them and of course for us and our position in the league — but overall for them.

“I was thinking at half-time that it was going to be difficult for our fans if we got beaten so I’m happy for them.”
