What most Nigerians forget is that bankers lack job security and most banks can dismiss or sack any of their staff whenever and wherever, infact majority of Nigerian banks now recruit contract workers that can be layed off anytime and any day. With the highest rate of unemployment in Nigeria,fresh university graduates are willing to accept any terms and conditions offered by these banks. There are normally two kinds of workers in the banks and they are; Contract staffs Permanent staffs Contract staffs This staff does not have any permanent dealings with the bank. That is, contract staffs come and go depending on the time agreed to terminate the contract. Contract staffs are usually paid within the range of N35 000- N100 000 in any banks. But on rare cases, they are paid higher. An increase in the salary pay of a contract staff depends on the load of the task performed.
