Cut off bread and other carbohydrates or reduce their intakes. Carbohydrates are fattening especially bread.

Also, reduce alcohol intake especially beer which is also called liquid bread. Most alcohols contain high amounts of sugar

Check another scale. I can't see how anyone can gain weight that fast.

Drop bread and other complex carbs. Replace rice with quinoa, vege wrap in place of sharwama. Mushroom burger instead of beef. Avocado is better than mayo. Stir fry any of our local vegetables with a tablespoon of oil and dryfish, and eat as much as you want.

I'm about to reset my system for 21 days with liquid diet, you can try it too. Just blend and juice all you favorite fruits and veggies (I prefer my cabbage cooked before blending) and then watch what happens.

Hello hunku, diet is key. Cut down or zero on carb for now. Minerals nko? Flee I beg. Its difficult to cut down on carb because your body will keep yearning for it, just dicispline yourself.

OK, Normally this starts to happen to most men in their late 30s or early 40s so you may have risk factors for being overweigh

e.g genetic, sedentary life style and overeating.

The reasons for the drop as you get older are multiple but very important is that from your mi 20s your testosterone levels start tto drop and your metabolic efficiency drops.

What this means in practice is the dietary requirements of a 25 year old 35 year old and 45 year old are very different .

Of course if you are a farm labourer your diet woud be different from that of a banker.


In your case you mentioned weight gain over a short period .

Are you taking any drugs prescribed or otherwise?
Do you regularly consume alcohol
do you do aerobic exercise

In short do not just focus on diet though that is important .

As you get older you need less carbohydrates in your diet and more protein.

I woud recommend eating 2-4 carrots anytime you eat a meal, drink more water, avoid sugar and any drink that is not water.
Avoid white rice, Avoid bread, and anything made with flour and sugar including noodles and saghetti. Try to eat only natural stuff.

Eat A lot of nuts and vegetables , drink a lot of water.
Eat as much as possible of the following : Water melon, cucuber, groundnuts, Carrots, Ugwu , spinach coconuts, Drinking garri without sugar is fine but avoid at night.

Avoid carbohydrates in the evenings
avoid late meals

I suggest brisk walking for about 20 minutes daily ,.


The key thing is to look at your lifestyle in total .

Do you sit down all day

Do not sit down for more than 30 minutes at a go. Get up walk around and come back to your desk if you do desk work.

Go on a strict protein diet for a week. Eliminate rice totally and you'll see fast changes. That's what I'm currently doing and I'm amazed.

For protein, eat beans, moimoi, ekuru, chicken breast...just alternate them like that for variety.

As in between meal snacks, eat fruits like carrot (it's filling).


Ekuru is my new favorite. Less flatulent. No salt or oil.

Make exercise your daily routine, eat plenty fruits and vegetables, have regular sex.. Check yourself out after 6months. Don't thank me by then just request for my bank digit and I will be happy to give you!

All these people saying cut off carbs cut off rice.
Do you know an experiment has been carried out. a guy tried the chocolate diet. fed on chocolates for weeks and still lost weight.


Its all in the Metabolism FAM!!!

Calories in Vs Calories out is the foundation of all weight gain / loss.

do you know that eating 1 hungry man noodles has almost equaled 50% of an average calories intake.

do you know that taking 4 pieces of gala is about 55% of your daily calories intake.

eating one bunch of banana (12pcs) is almost 60%.

I can eat rice and chocolates and never get fat, why?
because I am monitoring my total calorie intake.
if I eat a total of 1500 calorie and my body needs 2000
I am short of 500calories.

so my body takes the remaining 500calories from fat stored in my body.

Also don't forget metabolism

If you eat plenty and never get fat, its your metabolism.

If you eat very little and blow up suddenly its due to your metabolism.

Of what use is it if I exercise 2hrs daily but I consume 3000calories of food.

You have got to Jack up your metabolic rate fam. There are sites where you can get your basal metabolic rate calculated for you.
Exercises increase your metabolic rate, building muscles will increase tour metabolic rate.
Even some foods can help jack it up
Google them

All these keto diet and stuff will kill u.
weight loss should be gradual process! You can't suddenly trick your body by extreme dieting. Its a gradual process

Nna, I dropped my weight and added lean muscle with oatmeal and exercises.


My breakfast has been oatmeal with yoghurt (you could use milk but that might make you add sugar), and fried eggs. Just eggs, no maggi or seasoning or tomatoes. Just break the egg into little oil and fry. Oatmeal keeps you full for a long time so I can just drink water until I have dinner by 6pm.

My dinner is whatever I like -I plan on doing this for a long time so I do my best to make it sustainable- but in moderation.
I indulge once in a while but never more than 5 slices of pizza a week, some weeks I don't even indulge.

Get yourself some dumbbells and do these exercises 3 or 4 times a week before eating.

do you go to work? Keeping busy will reduce your appetite.
Do you have a car or take cabs? Trekking more will help

it's your afternoon meal you have to skip in fact, don't eat anything between morning and night meals.. Only water. Eat dinner around 6pm if possible.

Next stop eating meat!! And fish!! Eat eggs and vegetables
Reduce you oil and stop butter completely (and of course some say bread, Personally I don't eat BREAD or tea)

(I trimmed from 89kg to a stable 77kg between March last year to this March so I know)

NOTICE I DID NOT ADD ANY OTHER EXERCISE BUT TREKKING.
Any distance you can walk in 5-20mins don't use a car WALK DOWN. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY - WALK FASTER.

Ekuru is my new favorite. Less flatulent. No salt or oil.
lemme educate u why protein is advised for people who wants to lose weight.
first protein improves satiety, which means with protein you feel less hungry. that's why you can eat beans and not feel hungry in a long while.

2) protein takes longer time to digest, thus making your body work more to convert it, in the process raising your metabolism.
Think of metabolism as your body's engine.

Now both protein's and carbs have the same number of calories per gram
1gram of both of them gives about 4calories.

1gram of Fats and Oil gives bout 9calories. That's why Fats and Oil are the biggest source of energy to the body.

But I don't recommend eating just protein , your body will be missing out from nutrients found in carbs

My dear, let me tell you about me and my folks diet.

Breakfast- starting from bacon, sausages, eggs, avocado, bread, leftover food from last night........anything goes. Mind you, our jobs are handyworks that sometimes require a lot of walking and all. So we are very active during the day. I play football too.

Brunch- cheeseburger, soda.....name it......then back to work

Lunch- What you have as a full meal for dinner, I have it as luch.....back to work

Whatever is inbetween lunch and dinner- now I start eating fruits, biscuits and drinking way more water

Dinner-I mostly prefer steamed veges or natural ingredients for cooking vegetables then a piece red/white meat.

Some people eat less and gain more. Some eat more and then throw out after....silly if you ask me and very unhealthy. Some... its just genetical. Find what is it that makes you gain and work on that. But key is, have all the good/popular foods whilst working out or in the early hours so that your body works itself and cut to healthy after lunch time.

The kind of food you put in should balance the energy used, daily.

It is good to exercise...but you must exercise in a way that the energy you expend exercising exceeds the energy you take in as food.

3. routine

when I was in Uni, I did all sort of things to add weight, mixed milk, egg and malt. ate 5 times a day, drank cascilane 90, still nothing. but then I got to certain age and I started blowing up, got to 90kg.
