You are just being clueless.

Just do a little research on your history.

1. Tell me the average age of the leaders who got Nigeria independence.
2. Then tell me the average age of the soldiers who led the military coups since 1967.

If those were youths, then it goes to show that the problem of Nigeria is bigger and way deeper than you had imagined. And, insanity is the constant repetition of the same idea with the expectation of a unique outcome.

Sorry to break it to you: The country's foundation is evil and unsustainable. Until you are ready to enthrone liberty and justice - including the liberty to choose not be one - you will keep going in an endless circular motion.

No progress can be made in a false or forced union. To be truly one, every unit should have the liberty to choose not be one. Once unity becomes compulsory and non-negotiable, it ceases to be unity but oppression. And such forced/false union creates the scenario of endless tension and the mentality of "winner takes it all" which Nigeria has been since the past 100 years.

I'm usually not interested in politics. I'm sure you'll find I have never posted under the politics section in Nairaland, or if I have, maybe once or twice. But now I'm starting a topic.

We need to change this country. We can. There's no reason to vote back old leaders who are only serving their own interests and who don't understand the concept of modern governance. Buhari returning in 2015 was like Margret Thatcher becoming Prime Minister over Theresa May. We shouldn't let this happen in 2019. Please vote a young Nigerian president who can change things and who can feel the pains of the youth in the country.

The only candidates that come to mind here is Sowore and Fela Durotoye. But honestly I wouldn't touch Fela with a ten foot poll. The guy must have benefited from the rich in this country and kneels before pastors. Sowore is a clear alternative this 2015. Please let's do the right thing. Let's show these old people we can take the country back.
