My African man friend, the microwave-generated heat permeates each cake particle and heats it individually so the cake is done in less time than if for eg it had one source of heat. so, longer than 10mins and you'd be making a cookie!

i'm trying this rite now. I hope it turns out great. Cause i've never tried making pastry at home before because of all the time it takes. Its usually cheaper to buy. Do you have a short cut for home made bread? I wont mind. I love trying out recipes.

i did it. it turned out burnt. i'm trying it again 2day. i guess my heat was to high. my microwave is a bit complicated. i used P-100 which is d highest. I wish u specified a temperature or temperature range. i'm trying it again with P-50. hope it turns out fine now.

i'm ok with 30-40 mins in an oven. i'm not in such a hurry to eat the cake

@bloodred: i'm really glad you are trying this. Remember not to makje your dough too thick. plus you probably overheated. depending on the strength of your microwave, you may consider heating at medium. just keep checking until the surface begins to glisten and a plate knife dipped in doesnt get wet. you may have to try one or two times before you manage the perfect temp and timing.
