Nigerian player, Simeon ‘Simy’ Nwankwo of Crotone delayed Juventus’ Serie A title celebration as he struck a late equalizer to open wide the title race for Napoli and Juventus Wednesday night at the Estadio Ezio Scida.

Crotone who are battling with relegation got a lifeline with the pivotal points as they continue their fight to stay in the Italian top flight for next season.

Juve versatile defender, Alex Sandro, broke the deadlock with just 16 minutes into the game as the Old Ladies were having possessions and felt relaxed as the first half ended with the lone goal.

The second half resumed with Crotone struggling to get their bearing against a more experienced Juventus as they had gone into the game hoping for a miracle to happen for them to pick a point.

The game was gradually crawling into the end when Simeon Nwankwo lashed on from a loose ball with a spectacular ‘Ronaldo’ like overhead kick from inside the box to level scores.

With the game ended 1-1, Napoli who defeated Udinese 4-2, now reduced the points to four as the title race is now wide open again with five games to end the season.
