Hello Nairalanders, I am writing this to inform prospective buyers on ebay. Last month on 8th of March I placed an order for an item worth $30 on eBay I paid for it through my PayPal account, the payment was confirmed by both eBay and PayPal. The next day I received a shocking email from eBay that you have placed order for an item no longer available on ebay, but since you have already paid there is nothing you can do now, just relax and wait, if your order did not arrive at the stipulated time you need to go to our help center and open a dispute. The next day I received an email from the seller, he is telling me that he's sorry that his account was deleted from eBay but not to worry that he will send me my item, few hours later I received a confirmation from eBay that my order has been shipped, the seller has even provided me with a tracking number which I later learned it was fake. Since 9th of March I have been tracking the item from various tracking websites but no any information about it, in fact the carrier China post indicates that they have not received any item with that tracking number, I have tried to reach the seller through his email but he is not answering. So after 40 days I decided to open a dispute and my case is under review, they told me wait for 5 working days they'll contact me.

I had similar issue twice..and got my money back on both occasions. The item you ordered must have been extremely cheap to the regular price. Some scammers hack the seller account and list fake item to rake in some cash. Open dispute. Email ebay and watch your money returned to you.
