Good day my people. Enjoy this story

MY Life Partner

She looked at me and smiled, batting her full lashes, then she stretched out her hands to me; she wanted a kiss. And I was sure about to oblige her when I looked closely. It wasn't Onyinye my wife, it was.... !

Chidi jumped up from bed. That was a BAD dream.

He looked at his wife sleeping sweetly beside him and adjusted the bedwarmer around her shoulder.

'Good Lord! What would I be without her?' he thought to himself as he stood up gently and walked out of the room.

Getting to the balcony Chidi's head was spinning wildly. The dream! Gosh!!!

He was just about to hug Prisca Adeoye! And he knew in his heart of hearts that it was NO friendly courteous hug. It was an invitation for something more.

Chidi could have dismissed it as a dream, but he knew better to do otherwise. Hmmmm, Prisca.... He thought rubbing his head.

Prisca was a colleague in the office, who was very good at what she did. As Project Managers, they both got to do things together. They were very thorough and conscientious with whatever they did.

Lately, they were both selected for a four day field job contract that would last for one-year six months.

The implication was that from Wednesday till Saturday, 8am till 6:30pm sometimes a little longer than that, they would be on site.
The company also paid for separate hotel rooms for them both, during those days; in a hotel that was much closer to the site.
They needed the job to be finished as fast as possible.

The catch was the bonus coming with that contract job. For that period they would be paid about 400k extra per month! Trust me that was not child's play.

It had been great for the past two months since they started, but there was a little challenge.

Chidi was beginning to kinda get attracted to Prisca! And she was NOT helping matters.

From the way she dressed and patted his shoulders sometimes, to the hungry look she gave him at some other times; Prisca was asking for something more. Though she would never say this in words. But through her subtle actions, her intentions were as clear as a mirror.

Initially, Chidi had thought he could shoulder through it as a responsible Christian husband of a very special wife; but as the weeks passed, the temptation was getting stronger.

The dream seemed to be the straw that broke the camel's back.

'I have to tell Onyi' Chidi thought to himself. She needs to know what I'm struggling with. I can't just fall my wife's hand like that o. On the laps of another woman! God forbid!!'

With that conclusion, he marched into the room and put on the light. One thing his wifey didn't like was the lights on while sleeping. So she began to toss and turn on the bed. Then her eyes fluttered open.

'Hey baby' Chidi spoke out as he climbed the bed to her side.

With a yawn, Onyinye tried to speak 'Why are the lights on dear? You know I can't sleep when they are' she eyed him, trying to make an angry face.

Chidi smiled knowingly 'Honey I wanted your complete attention' he answered as he pulled her closer to himself.

'Hmmmm, babe it's not even 3am yet... Lemme go wash my face' Onyi replied and released herself from his hug and went to the bathroom.

By the time Onyinye returned, she was very much alert. 'Hope you're not sick baby, it's unusual that you wake up by this time' she was already on the bed in a kneeling position and touching her husband's head; to feel his temperature.

Chidi just stared at her... 'that's the wife of my youth. My wife of 8yrs, still makes me feel like a Lil boy' he thought to himself and smiled.

Getting hold of her hand gently he answered, 'I'm fine baby, but..... but something is troubling me' he replied in a troubled tone.

'What could that be darling? Talk to me' Onyinye answered.

'Be a man Chidi! Tell her'
His Spirit reminded him.

'Sweetie I think I have to quit the contract job' Chidi said matter of factly.

Onyi looked at him surprised and answered 'Quit? Why?'

'Baby, do you believe I still love you? As much as I did the first time I proposed to you?' Chidi asked gently

'Haaaa, why are you sounding this way dear, you're scaring me. Of cause, I know you love me Love; and you know I love you too' she replied looking at her husband closely..

'Dear Lord, what's wrong with my husband o' Onyinye thought to herself.

'Thanks for loving me honey' Chidi answered holding her hands.

'I... I actually want to quit the job, cos I think am getting sexually attracted to Prisca, my colleague"Chidi said the words so fast and sighed.

Onyinye thought she didn't hear well and just stared at her husband with her eyes looking like it would pop out.

'Wow!' 'Baby, is that why you want to quit the job and all its benefits?' Onyinye asked not believing her ears

'Yes Love, I know it sounds too drastic a step; but I feel in my spirit that this is safer to do right now dear. I can't bear to lose you because of an unstable feeling.'
'You mean much more to me than the bonus the contract job gives me darling' Chidi concluded.

'Good Lord! Jesus!!!Onyinye thought in her heart.

Releasing her breath she looked at her husband with his head bowed and spoke.

'Chidi, look at me' Onyinye said lifting his chin up to face her. When she got his attention she bit her lips and spoke, as emotions coarsed thorough her throat.

'I don't know what to say baby; but I'm happy you saw the need to share this with me' she paused, swallowed and continued.

'Quitting that contract job and it's benefits just because you value what we share, means a lot to me. I love you baby'. She said rubbing his shoulder and looking at him with eyes filled with love.

'But I think we should try something first baby' Onyi said thoughtfully

Giving his wife an inquiring look he asked 'Okaaay...am listening'

'Now you've told me, I think we could commit ourselves to praying over this matter and ask God to kill any ungodly desire for her'

'However if after 3 more weekends nothing changes, then you could resign baby' Onyi concluded looking straight at her husband with much concern in her voice.

'Hmmmmmm, I see' Chidi answered
'Do you want think it's the best way babe?' He asked

'For now, dear; yes. Let's pray that ungodly desire away. If it still remains and you feel led to quit afterwards, my darling you have my complete support' Onyi answered giving her husband a lovely smile.

Still thinking, Chidi answered 'Well, you're my AP na, we're in this together' Chidi said, then stretched his hands to caress her nose.

Onyi smiled gleefully and replied him 'My one and only Accountability Partner after the Holy Spirit.. That's you baby'

Suddenly looking serious she stared at his face in shock and asked 'what's that near your chin dear!'

Chidi was taken aback, 'What?' he asked a bit surprised

'Wait! Don't move baby, let me get it off' Onyi answered looking so serious.

Chidi stood calm and the next thing Onyi bent her face and got her husband's lips in a LONG kiss.

Then she snatched her mouth away, took a deep breath and looked at her husband, smiled innocently as though she did not just ignite a fire and said
'Let's pray dear, the Lord will keep you strong for me in Jesus name!' Onyi said.

You can imagine this woman!!! Kai! women eh.. Chidi thought to himself

'Onyi, you eh' Chidi looked at his wife smiling as she adjusted the net on her head and jumped down from the bed.

'Who am I to not pray? prayer first and we'll continue from where we stopped, Na you start am o' Chidi concluded and joined his wife, standing from the bed.

She took his hands and began to sing worship songs... The prayer that followed was not a joke at all!

My amen was not smiling o. It was more than 30 mins later we finished praying.

Trust me, there's nothing as awesome as having a Godly wife who has a listening ear and knows how to hold up her man in prayer.

'Mehn! I feel like a million dollars' Chidi thought to himself, after the prayers as he cuddled his wife to sleep. 'Thank you for the gift of understanding you gave my wife Lord, it means a lot to me' closing his eyes he drifted to sleep.

The End.

Some Men have tried to be MAN enough by hiding issues related to sexual attraction to other women, from their wives. Unfortunately, they have ended up between the sheets with such women.

Guys, let's be MAN enough to open up to our wives about these matters before it gets out of hand. Remember, one will chase a thousand and two will chase TEN thousand.
(If you married the right woman, trust me when I say, NO other woman might be able to pray for you as passionately as she does o)

Let her breasts satisfy you always, the Holy Writ advises in Proverbs 5:19.

Ladies, when your husband tells you; handle the info with wisdom and respect him more for opening up. If not, he won't tell you next time.

In fact, the info should help you tarry on your knees for your man!

Don't forget, Proverbs 14:1 says clearly; ' A wise woman builds her home, but the foolish woman pulls it down with her hands'.

Our husbands will not fall into scandalous situations under our nose in Jesus name, Amen!!!

After praying fervently about the issue, let us also take drastic action as at when necessary. The woman can go on a casual visit to her husband even on the work field. This will push the pangs of the enticing woman away.

And in all, let's always remember who we are in Christ. Our identity in Christ will save us from falling into temptation.
