Why We Should Support Omoyele Sowore To Become Nigeria's President - Afam4eva by Afam4eva(m): 4:02pm On Apr 27, 2018
After taking a second look at the political intrigues, i have decided that in order for us to take Nigeria to the promised land we must begin to make concerted efforts at voting for the right people, especially as the presidential election in 2019 draws closer. One of the people that we must begin to look at is Omoyele Sowore.

The average Nigerian is unstable politically, but you can’t blame them because they have been death a deadly blow by previous administrations that promised heaven and earth but as soon as they got into power became worse than their predecessors. Worst, still, they start insulting the people who put them in power. A typical example is the current president, Muhamadu Buhari who got into power because a lot of Nigeria we’re tired of the status quo and they saw this humble man from Daura as their only saving grace. Actually, they saw the humility that was packaged and sold to them by the same political elites that they have love to hate and hate too love. After getting the mandate of the people, the administration of Buhari starting a series of character assassination on the same people that put him there. First, he called the fantastically corrupt and recently, he told the whole world that Nigerian youths are lazy and never-do-wells. Don’t forget that this same man contested in previous elections and lost but was somehow repackaged to Nigerians.

I, myself have been guilty for political gallivanting because i also support the current president in 2011 when Nigerians would not even listen to what he had to say. In 2017, even though i didn’t support him, i preferred him to the status quo at the time. Not too long ago, i also called for support for former vice president, Atiku Abubakar whom i know that, even though he’s not a saint, he is better than the man currently occupying the Aso Rock space and because he stands a better chance.

Recently, I’ve been weighing my options seriously and i have come to believe that we need a fresh face to lead this country. That is someone who is not part of the current political space. Some who is a rebel and ready to fight for what he believes in and the only person that i have seen so far is Omoyele Sowole, The publisher of Sahara Reporters.

While i’ve had reservation about his media outfit, I think no one can be said to be perfect and i don’t expect him to be. But one thing i know for sure is that, he seems like a man who knows his onions and stands by it no matter whose ox may be gored.

I put it to Nigeria that Sowore is not the messiah that we have been clamouring for because there isn’t one. But he’s the person who is going to change the political atmosphere of the country if giving the slightest chance.

I urge the youths of Nigeria to stand before our own. We should on come out and be counted as we make history bu uprooted the decades of decadence that has pervaded our land. Our destinity is ours, let’s take it. Vote Omoyele Sowore for 2019.

Can you tell me one issue hes strong on like i said in previous posts. Hes not even the best youth aspirant. Everyone just voting for him as protest vote. What issues is ge strong on? Adamu Garba is better than him. His economic policy meh, secruity decent, supports free trade, against aid. Hes not naking unrealistic promises like 100k minimum wage or restructuring six months within office.

Nigeria is a very religious country but very corrupt. Nigerians vote based on religion and ethnic affiliation.

Sowore is a southern Muslim ( Aka Yoruba Muslim), Sowore has no chances of becoming a president due to his religion, because an average northernern muslin can't vote for sowore who will present a northern Christian as vice over northern muslim a as vice or President .

Yoruba Muslims are politically disadvantaged .

I really don't see what is unrealistic in 100k minimum wage. Are we so pessimistic that we think some things are out of reach? or is it because previous administrations have failed us after promising heaven and earth and we think that anybody who says something similar is somehow lying.

I may not know Sowore personally bu what i see is a man that is tired of the status quo and he has made it known through Sahara reporters.

Btw, who's this Adamu Garba guy. I want to check him out too.

Almost everyone i know is tired of the old order. Even though i also thought of the fact that this could split the votes, i think i'm more interested in sending a message than actually winning.

Man, this is so bleeping childish.

From my point of view, the dude you are touting here is both unstable and corrupt. I see him as someone that has zero integrity. How could you possibly be pushing this? Were you paid?

It is unrealistic because contrary to popular opinion, Nigeria is broke.

Check our budget to that of South Africa and Egypt to notice

If the youths are serious it's possible to put Sowore in Aso Rock come 2019. Sowore has visited the SE, Owerri precisely. He has visited the north too and conferred with the Emir of Kano. His energy is very high. I wish him well and do hope he will intensify efforts. On our path we must do all we can to support. His courage provide an opportunity to chase away the so called experienced politicians that messed up our country.

Maybe if we actually scrutinize the inslated amounts used for projects in this country and cut down on unnecessary overheads, we won't say Nigeria is broke.

I'm not even saying i support everything in his manifesto. I'm more interested in his drive. Anyone can come up with an excellent manifesto which can be drawn up by someone who is knowledgeable in the field but that does not mean that the candidate in question has the capacity to do what he says. A case in point is Buhari/APC's almost perfect manifesto..

What sort of evidence do you need to see before you know that it takes a corrupt person to run a pay-to-play political rumour mill and character assassination outfit?

When recrurrent expenditure are already 70% of budget. The fact even with bailout states started owing workers. This isn't pessimism its math government pays workers through taxes. Can private sector adjust to new minimum wage or will they just let unskilled labor go?

After the kind of damage Nigeria has been through under the Buhari we don't need another disorganised short sighted rascal again who thinks Nigeria's problem is corruption when the actual problem is lack of a visionary leader who has picture of where he wants Nigeria to be and how to get there ..I can never again vote any presidential candidate who business plan to making Nigeria great is jailing corrupt people !! Jailing corrupt people is not a national vision and can never be one .. Spore does not cut it for me

For me my vote is for Sowore, Nigeria problem is not just developing a new manifesto or plan but the will and energy to implement and that I've seen in Sowore.
Moghalu will end up hobnobbing with the same set of people we wanted to do away with, he said he consulted with OBJ about his aspirations. The religious colouration of Durotoye's movement will knock him out.

Dear friend don't allow Nigerian factor to erode ur fundamental human right to a decent life
If it is realistic for Nigerian NASS to b d highest payed in d world,

for state governors to take their multimillion naira monthly remunerations as pension for d rest of their lives after stuffing several billions in different accounts all around d world,

for Yusuf to buy over a 100million naira bikes without working,

for scores of billions of dollars to go missing on yearly basis under different circumstances

for Nigeria to produce d richest black man in d world while other businesses r either folding up, relocating or laying off staff

for several millions of dollars public funds to be buried in saves, graveyards, soak away, and so on as only God knows where

for d wife of a man with no shoes(patience) to suddenly own multi billion naira properties and cash across d country

for our leaders to travel out to the best places in d world for virtually everything in this world e.g education, health, vacation, etc..

for $16billion to generate darkness

for Madueke and her cronies to live on billion dollars public money

for different foreign currencies to b found at judges residences across d country

and d list goes on as am sure u understand...

now let's assume all d above anomalies r not present, or is at least drastically reduced
do u still think 100k minimum wage is unrealistic

Let us plz change direction and see what we get wch am confident will b far better than wat we have now

Sowore is already a factor, I pity those that underrates him. It is not an understatement that within the few weeks he announced his ambition and commenced his various town hall meetings, which have so far covered Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Akure, Ikene, Owerri, Benin, Onitsha and his numerous visit to Radio and TV stations. Nigerians have embraced his ambition and the awareness is going viral and the political space disrupted.

It is possible to take Nigeria back from those that consider it their personal properties and have even line up their children to continue.

Join the #Takeitback movement and vote for Sowore2019.

For those people saying Sowore's victory is impossible, I can authoritatively tell u that d only tin standing between him and d presidency is ur support/ vote.

"Courage is not d absence of fear but d ability to go on in spite of it"

If Obama is overcomed by d fact dat no one has done it b4, it will remain impossible
But fortunately his FIRST attempt earned him wat no one has never achieved
That is bcz he attempted it in d 1st place
Nigeria belonged to us and we can take it from whoever we want anytime we want

All we needed is to attempt it with unwavering determination

I wish us a better future, but we must work for it

This guy is an opportunity let's make good use of it, if we all discourage him wat message r we sending to intending good men, "that Nigeria belonged to d corrupt"

Together we can #TakeItBack
