A growing property management company located in Port Harcourt (East-West Road, around Uniport environs) is looking for a resourseful individual to fill the position of a Real Estate Officer. The role will involve business development to rent available properties and property management to liase with existing tenants and resolve all property management issues.


Your responsibilities will include:
- Creates and maintains a conducive interface between tenants and the Landlord
- Accomplishes financial objectives by collecting rents, paying bills and forecasting requirements
- Ensure contracts for all rentals are properly documented and filed
- Maintains property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints and enforcing rules of occupancy
- Supervision of repairs and renovations
- Frequent update of tenancy schedule which includes vital details of rent payment, tenancy period, place of tenant's employment, terms of payment and tenancy status.
- Supervision of repair works undertaken by team (structural, electrical and services repairs inclusive).
- Reviews, renewals and termination of leases.
- Ensuring that the Landlord is compliant with legislation and contractual obligations by ensuring that required safety obligations are fulfilled
- Providing an advisory, forward-thinking and bespoke service to tenants to ensure retention rates remain high
- Seeking opportunities to increase revenue for the Landlord.
- Use social media and other tools to market properties.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A degree in Estate Management or related discipline
- Entry level graduate with proven track record of resourcefulness
- Innovative, Proactive and Smartworking
- Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, networking skills negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with clients, government officials, private industry officials and professionals.
- Highly articulate and numerate.
- Very good ICT skills
