If they laugh at us. It means we failed them and other generations. I think this whole religion thing is more of ignorance than spiritual. We are quick to draw lines and quote scriptures to support our point from personal opinion. If the former religion is not meeting the needs of the presence generation let's redefine it or modernized it, what do you think?

What we need to do now, is to shed organized religions and their spiritually crippling dogmas, and develop our spirituality. If we can build religions that allow spirituality to flourish and nurture our spiritual development, then it will be fantastic. But that will take a total paradigm shift which i don't think these organized religions are ready to make any time soon, because that shift would mean their end.

Thanks @Jenwitemi, but we cannot let this "imported culture" hold us back. We need to move on and make change. Afterall, change is constant. We need the change now! Religion is the only means used by  the rich to exploit the poor. Religion is causing dishonestly and lack of trust among families. It should be abolished. I don tire for this religion self! As learned Africans can't we create or incorporate our own religion?

what i mean is that, what is the need or purpose of creating new imaginary gods and dogmas since you're advocating creating new/modern religions whether african or otherwise as some sought of solution

We could create godless and worshipless religions like buddhism. A purely spiritual way of being that involves only the journey within us, as well as the purification of the inner republic. That is the next stage for humanity's evolution anyway. Traditional religions have had their days. They are all outdated now and all need to go.

It the things people do in the name of religion. It the fact that many religion promotes hatred , materialisms, selfishness etc instead of love, peace, etc. It the fact that many are lead by man guidance. Man who himself is imperfect. Yet people cling to this guidance without questioning without doubts.

you christians and muslims are not Saving The Almighty God because your practices are differents from what God expecting to whoever serving him if there is no love among you then you are serving the Power of darkness and forget about heaven you always bind in your mind to go but what you need to expect for is Hell your determined Place cristians and Musilims specialy are murders, terrorists, etc, and what kind of god can accept those act ? only the Power of darkness

Religion, like confraternities, is the invention of man based on good intentions but dragged down by the ignorant to the lebel it is today.

Trbalism, Racism, Churchism all bear the same similarities and are perpetuated by the ignorant. I pity all religionist and I denounce all religions.
