I think Naij earns even more than Linda Ikeji and anyone else. Clearly thousands of $$$ daily on Adsense alone. Do you agree? Their traffic should be in millions. It's the ultimate example of 'blogging as a business' and that's where I am deriving inspiration from.

By the way, what's the story behind their domain name change/redirection from Naij.com to Naija.ng?
Re: Naij.com Is The Highest Adsense Earner In Nigeria. Who Else Agrees? by Nobody: 6:30pm On May 07, 2018
Very true

But be aware naij.com is not a Nigerian company

It's owned by gentech partners in Ukraine they also own jijing the top merchant site in Nigeria

This is a lesson on how to run a website

Foreigners came to your own country and showed you how to sell online news not what nairaland is doing

Revenue from a website is generated via strategic upgrades and managed content not free for all approach

I know their top level managers on a personal level

Being the number 1 visited website in Nigeria is pointless without the commensurate revenue being generated

If I show you the quarterly earnings for naij and jiji you will keep for seun

Talkless of Linda ikeji

People can talk nonsense, you don't have any emperical proof for your insane claim and you want some to come agree or disagree with you

Don't mind the guy. I think Naij showed him their Adsense Dashboard.

Since nobody who's a top earner would show you 'empirical proof' of their earnings, how would you ever know what any big site earns? How about making enlightened conjectures? Would Linda Ikeji ever show you her Adsense dashboard?

But at least we can make enlightened guesses based on our estimates of the site's search engine prominence/daily traffic (some of us search countless random Nigerian focused topics on Google daily and it's crazy how Naij.com results turn up on the first page everytime) , adsense strategy, etc.

If you know something you know (more credible candidates for top Nigerian adsense earners), why not let us know?

I knew the site isn't owned by Nigerians. The day I found out I wasn't surprised. Nigerians are not really big business minded. In terms of Internet business, Seun and Nairaland is a good example. Konga is another.

I wouldn't be surprised if the company is one of the highest earning Internet businesses in Nigeria. And best of all, they don't have to reveal their real earnings to anybody (not even the FIRS).

It's a massive operation. I wonder how many writers they have and how they inculcate the SEO writing training in them. I really need their business model. It's fantastic.

It's only dumb people that make such kind of claims. How can you say Nigeria is the richeat country in the world without backing up your claim with figures or concrete data. It's crazy agai.

I'm neither saying Naij is the highest Nigerian adsense earner nor it's not. The fact that Naij turnsup most of the time your searchis not enough to backup your claim. More over Nigerian cpc on AdSense is by far less than 0.1 most of the time it is between 0.01 to 0.05.

Finally, am not here to argue silly with you on this.

I never knew you could jump into conclusion like this.

I never said he's totally wrong. But it is madness to ssy he's right when we can't seefigures to backup the claim.

Is Naij the most visited site in Nigeria, with that kind of traffic?

I never mentioned Nairaland or whatever site, besides NL doesn't use AdSense so why the mention?

My question is, why has NAIRALAND refused to evolve?

I understand the need for simplicity and speed but in the UI/UX world, the site is poor looking.

There a lot of useless posts, especially annoying topics where they’ll put a link to follow, I believe if nairaland had played it’s cards right, it could have employed measures to screen new topics to weed out stupid ones and make available complete write ups.

This site stood a chance of making good money but I don’t know what whoever runs it has in mind.

There is no branding, there is just nothing.

Correct me on where I’ve got it wrong or corroborate me. Thank you.

Stick to what works is the new mantra! To you the simplicity makes it look poor, but to many other it just works great, and to the owner, maximum returns. Did you just said, no branding? You need a redefined meaning to branding, cos what your teacher taught you was wrong! grin

Which other proof do u want.. grin for him to screenshot thair account.

There are metrics being used to check site performance online
As at today naij is the 7th visitef website in nigeria. Apart from Google, Facebook, bet9ja, no other site receives traffic like them.
If u talk about Google traffic they are the number 1 in Nigeria.
I think their Facebook page is about 4million followers.

Now you really get my point. These metrics can be used to make enlightened guesses about their Adsense income, and I strongly believe the site is one of the highest earners in Nigeria, if not the highest.

Lol maximum returns?? I highly doubt that! I’m not denying it works great for many people but imagine the opportunities nairaland has missed because of it’s poor outlook. I don’t know how blogging works but if i wanted to place ads, I won’t pay top dollar to have my ad displayed here and that’s if I pick nairaland at all; now look at the premium ads LIB displays, even Lasisi of IG is doing premium stuff!

If you know so much about branding, please tell me what steps nairaland has taken to establish a brand
