There has been different report of scams going on in the real estate industry for years but of recent, the trending ones are the well packaged monthly payment schemes orchestrated by some of the Nigerian real estate firms. Of recent, after the success of some notable brands in this space, some newbies have entered the market with fake promises and poor customer service. All they are after is to gather as much as possible from innocent Nigerians and never deliver...or even try to outsmart them as time goes on.

One of such is HIGHERLIFE CONSULT LTD, they are the perpetrator of the popular ROYAL GARDENS ESTATE SCANDAL at Ajibode/Laaniba in Ibadan. The estate was on sale for 600,000 on a subscription based program.

As of now, the larger proportion of subscribers haven't been allocated and they are even threatening that they wont refund all subscribers. This is because the area has appreciated pretty well beyond their expectations. And right now they are trying to be too hard on the subscribers thinking they can easily just do anything without being questioned.

Here's what one of the subscribers have to say:

I can't believe I could be scammed in this country by a any Nigerian company until now. A lot of my friends are affected by the unimaginable Highlerlife scam.

I received the shock of my life when I visited their office yesterday with intent to collect my receipt and proper documents to my plot of land. On the 9th of February, they issued a letter to hasten the payment by extending the month till April 30th.

But unfortunately, when I got to their office, the lady I met told me the letter of extension I receive on the 9th of february was a mistake that am expected to pay the new price at 1.5million naira.

Personally, am not willing to opt for refund and loose 25%, neither am I interested in accepting land from another location, or even pay the new price.

I want Nigerians to hear about this so as not to fall victim of this devilish HIGHERLIFE CONSULT and ROYAL GARDENS ESTATE scam because they still have more of this scams perpetuated in many other locations of this country. When you hear HigherLife consult or Royal Gardens estate by HigherLife consult, run for the future of your children because they are just after your money. They have no land for sale in any part of the country because if they do, they'd have given us our land after making 600k, 800k and 900k respectively. They lack the fear of God and human feelings and you should not do anything with them hence you will be like us very soon.

I also received the same shock after paying up on the 27th of April, only to be told that the extension letter was a mistake. I think we need to put them on social media to alert the public to this scam. More people just not pay to this company. They are not reliable and trustworthy.

I am really sad to hear all these coming from people who have for once in their life had a dream of owning their land properties but for their dreams to be shattered by these people without the fear of God.

Am surprised by this. I have known Higherlife properties for over six years now and have been part of their land scheme ROYAL GARDEN and i haven't heard anything of such. If you are sure of your claims. why not meet them and state your claims. they are still very much in operations and have not change office for the past years. i don't see it as scam when the Estates are still in operation same with their offices. Maybe there was bridge of terms between you and them but as much i know and have personally experienced they are trustworthy company. ENANANA IBADAN

Is higherlife consults aware of this post? i guess this person is aggrieved for reasons i cannot tell. well for me i have known them for 3yrs and i bought a plot from ROYAL GARDEN ESTATE from them,,,i paid in 18 months and i already have my plot and documents without issues. so this is coming as a surprise. from the post you can even find out that is one person saying all these things because there is no usernames there. how did he get the other comments? .@onosenanana like you rightly said, they are still in the offices the person placed in the pictures above. if its scam while not go there and get them.

some people sabi spoil people name sha...i cant speak for all but i never experience any troubles...even when i defaulted and pleaded with them they waved it. @richkid1 if you have any grievances with them for any reason,this is not the right way to go about it.
make higherlife look for this person and charge him for deformation of image.

NONSENSE AND FAKE ALERT!
From the story of the person you will even find out that there was an underline issue with him and the company.if it is scam go and arrest them na since they did not run away. This is not the right way to express your displeasure. my Dad and aunt has lands i that estate from higherlife and am the one who goes to make the payments. kosi scam joor. go and settle your issue with them. as mush as i know they are one of the most reliable estate provider around ibadan...

It's very sad that this big scandal, misinformation, crime & abuse of social media is allowed here. I don't know who sponsored this fellow or rather what his / her plights were. But, spilling blatant lies about one of the most reputable real estate companies to associate with in Ibadan & Nigeria at large, is a big sin before God.
They have estates at Idi-omoh phases 1 & 2, Alakia, Ologuneru (Nihort) & Camp already with existing occupants. In the last two years, they have three new estates at Moniya, Tipper garage (along Ojoo - Arulogun) & Ijaiye Moniya with booming patronage.
Personally, I have my properties with them fully secured to my ownership rights & I've referred a good number of people, all with no such negative feedback.
I will advise you approach them if need be rather than to blackmail. It's a jailable offence.
