Ambode should just give this guys $100million for rat termination in Lagos too.

The rats would still stray from border communities in ogun into Lagos.

Only God knows how much I hate rats.
They can be so destructive and their guts is something else. The way rats would want to forcefully gain entrance and share apartment with you would get you wondering if these good for nothing animals contributed to your rent. Well, it they can chase a president out of his office, who I come be for my kekere rented 2 bedroom flat.
Nigerian government should not see this news oooo. Else, another reason to spend millions on helicopters would be discovered. I know APC government can order for another helicopter to chase the rats in Buhari's office.
The first day I killed a rat with my bare hands, it felt so crazy, I feel like a ninja. My second close encounter with a rat ensured they sanctified my room for one full year. If you'd like me to, I could tell you how I did it. Unsolicited advice is usually not appreciated.

I would honestly appreciate. The ones I have here would run pass the poison I kept for them... They just play around and mess the whole place up with their droppings.

If a fellow Nigerian youth can collect 30k, some even less to fight for politicians forget it.

Nigeria is lost

Some who used to speak up are now quite because somehow there are now in the corridors of power, collecting free money via their spouses, Uncles, friends, contracts etc.

Hence they have lost their voice

Some youths of today may end up being worst than the leaders of this day.

What will change Nigeria is the people speaking with one voice, void of bigotry and religious sentiments.

When we say let's protest, some people will collect money and fight those protesting.

No sane country will develop this way.

Even Zimbabwe and South Africa unseated their presidents by coming together to protest and speak against evil.

Is Nigeria the same?

No!

Some will form factions and collect money and blackmail others, send assassins to kill others.

No amount of prayers will save Nigeria, until we speak with one voice.

Even Ghana of yesterday have dusted us, some idiots are celebrating empty statistics

Your kind only have negative things to say about Nigeria.
How long did it take Zimbabwe before they could unseat their President?...when he was already old and weak
After all we as a country were able to stop Obasanjo from hijacking power.
We were able with one voice to stand up for Goodluck Jonathan when they wanted to steal what's rightfully his...even this present administration, we're dealing with them daily through social media and every other means possible...
OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THINGS

Interestingly cruel. To what end? That island is their natural habitat . They have rights too. Later they will start claiming that the rats are going extinct.

Don't worry! When they destroy something of importance to you, you will be singing a different tune. grin grin

This is how it happened, I had been on a 3-week trip and by the time I returned, cockroaches, mosquitoes and rats were waiting for me. I cleared the mosquitoes and roaches with insecticide spray but the rats were still around. After a 7hour journey, my much needed rest was interrupted by these rodents at night. So I decided to spend the time doing some chores. I went into the kitchen to boil water in my electric kettle so I could store it in my flask. As I was about to pour it a thought just came to me. I left the water and started searching for the rat. I found it hiding behind my basket. I went back to pour the boiling water in a bowl then I tiptoed to where the rat was hiding. Once I got a visual, I poured the water directly on the rat. It scurried towards my bathroom where I suppose it had an escape route. I ran after it to cofirm it has been drenched in hot water. That was the last night I saw a rat in my place. Anytime my neighbours complain of rats I just smile.

There must be a reason God created rats...

Wow. Rats are not a matter for child's play. How did they get to talk less of surviving then thriving in Antarctica?
I guess they can follow the same moves to rid New York of rats. It is unofficially stated that for every human there ten rats exist.

Cruel, yes but the Norwegian rat is a very invasive species. The same rat you see in Nigerian waste bins descended from Norway many years ago. It is said they followed sailors who traveled from place to place and made new locations their home, displacing the local rat and other small wildlife population.

For humans to see the need to exterminate them means the rats were introduced into the land. The article says 250 years ago so I'm sure it was the first human visitors they came with.

What if they had introduced other animals that eat rats as food, may be that could have helped balance the ecosystem.

Poison vs predators. I would prefer the use of pythons, cobras and anacondas. The rats should have gotten a fighting chance to survive. Well, at least they are now manure for the soil.
