Please i need your help, my car cranks low and high when idle especially when in traffic, also rpm is above 1000 which is very unusual and consumes hell of fuel

What are the likely problem that might cause this

What do you mean by "cranking low or high"? Or you meant to say it fluctuates up and down?

Could you provide more info to your problems please?


The throttle body assembly of your car might be stuck with carbon deposits.

Yes sir fluctuate up and down l, at times the engine goes of when too low rpm below 500

Any comments pls, kindly profer a solution

check your idle air control valve and your maf. Also the throttle body.

but ensure you scan the vehicle first because TPS too has been linked to this issue
