Hello. Any Linguist or Language Enthusiast here? I need a list of 10 Chadic languages spoken in 10 different countries. I only know of the Hausa Language.

I am writing a paper on it.

Any contribution is duly appreciated.

The estimated 150 Chadic languages are natively spoken in 5 countries in the Eastern Sahel region. They are spoken in the modern day countries of Nigeria (northern & central), Niger (southern), Chad (central), as well as the uppermost parts of Cameroon, and Central African Republic.

1. Outside of Hausa, Angas is the Chadic language with the highest number of speakers. It's spoken in Central Nigeria in Plateau state, especially LGAs of Kanke and Pankshin.

2. Situated directly North of the Angas, are the Sayawa or Zaar people. They are mainly found in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa, as well as sorrounding areas in Bauchi State.

3. Kamwe, is likely the third most spoken Chadic language after Angas. It's primarly spoken in the rugged Mandara mountains, which is a very densely populated and linguistically hotbed. It's mostly spoken in Michika LGA in Adamawa state in Northeastern Nigeria. It's also spoken in neighboring LGAs with some communities also found along the border in Cameroon.

4. Psikye or Kapsiki is considered by many to be a Kamwe dialect. It's spoken in the Far North region of Cameroon, and across the border in Nigeria.

5. Kilba is a language spoken in Hong local government in Adamawa state of Nigeria. It's related to Marghi (Southern variety).

Marghi is a group of related languages spoken by an ethnic group in Northeastern Nigeria. Its divided into Central, Southern, and Western varieties. They are spoken
6. Marghi (South) is mainly spoken in Askira-Uba Lga of Southern Borno state and Madagali LGA, as well as surrounding LGAs in Northern Adamawa state in Northeastern Nigeria.

7. Marghi (Central) is mainly concentrated in Damboa Lga of Southern Borno. The language is unique because it has an extensive phonology with distinct 84 consonants which is the most consonants of any living language in the world.

8. Marghi (Putai or Western) is spoken in parts of Damboa, Kaga, and Chibok Lgas. Although Putai people number in their hundreds of thousands, the language is mainly only spoken by a very small handful of people (elders). It's a nearly extinct language and it's spoken by a few dozen people or less tan 100 people. It can be considered one of the smallest, if not the smallest Chadic language. Most Putai people have switched to Kanuri, a Nilo-saharan language.

9 and 10.) Mubi and Kajakse are two related languages and are the two Easternmost spoken Chadic language. They are spoken largely in Sila province of Chad which shares a border with Sudan.

11. Buduma, also known as Yedina is a language spoken the the triborder of Chad, Nigeria, and Niger. It's the only other natively spoken Chadic language in Niger Republic outside of Hausa.

Well, in that case, let me direct you to some credible online sources.

People groups document ethnolinguistic in all parts of the world. This is a link to their Chadic site.
http://www.peoplegroups.org/Explore/ClusterDetails.aspx?rop2=C0062#topmenu
You can click show more for more options and feel free to explore their map.

Here is another website call ethnologue. This is their Chadic list. They only allow 6 maximum views on their site, so make sure to not leave the page since you only have six views.

Just a little heads up. People Groups gave Hausa a seperate page. Hausa is shown in the map to be found in Burkina Faso, Benin, Ghana, Togo, etc. even though they are native to Nigeria and Niger.

Wow 0ver 100 chadic languages and only knw Hausa language. If i'm correct language that are related and are in thesame family branch will sounds alike and may even share similar words. i'm hausa and i wonder if any other chadic language sounds exactly like hausa. Wait how exactly hausa sound i can't really say as for every hausa word said is meaning in my brain thus its hard for me to say how exactly the language sounds lol grin i know how beautiful how different the dialects sounds.

which among many chadic languages is more closely related to hausa?

and i will appreciate it if someone link a audio or video that has chadic language been spoken in it. Thank you.

well, I appreciate your recognition and I'll advice you google these soft copy of the authors book I mentioned below. Although Newman's work on Chadic language was extensive but other researchers did work on these people as well. Some Bibliography on these are from the following :

Your question is tricky because I am not sure if person you quoted knew if you were referring to Bénin Republic or Bini/Benin in Nigeria?, It must said here that both do have settlers but Republic of Bénin has Hausa settlement more, with a probable 1,000,000 + population. If you also referred to Bini, there are also fringes of their settlement in Bini Nigeria, but insignificant, if one considered, the Auchi people, with link to Nupe/Hausa/Yoruba through Islam. One can say, they exist but on a new identity. If indeed, you want to write anything on Hausa in Bénin Republic, then ,you need visit the Northern part of Bénin Republic, where you will find them mixed up with Baruba/Borgu people.
The screenshot below will be of a help to you.

Hausas are the only group who speak a Chadic language in Benin, both indigenous and non indigenous.
They are from Niger or Nigeria and usually concentrated in urban centres in the north of that country doing one thing or another.
