The reality is that I have seen these retarded journalists calculate all forms of allowance and present it to the public as legislator "salary". When some were one off payments that it traditional in parliamentary allowance in most countries or one off payments as part of the monetisation process done by OBJ (i.e. basically money is given instead of a certain physical asset that depreciates e.g. car, house etc).

Now, my suspicion is that these allowance might be the constituency allowance given to legislators for work in their constituency. This type of allowance is not suppose to go into their private pockets (it might be going). So whoever the half-baked, fooolish, cretinous journalist was, (s)he should have given more details of what the allowance is for (e.g. car, house, ashewo, juju allowance etc), not just say "allowance".

Are you actually in support of these thieving politicians?

There is already evidence that they steal from the public coffers. What proof do you need?

People like you should be executed as well. Enemies to progress.

Dumbshit, what I am saying is that I want to know what the allowance is for before I make an informed judgement.

That is the quality of my education.

The quality of your education makes you a fool. If the writing is already on the wall, what proof do you need you EWU? Stop being a Doubting Thomas and understand that these thieving politicians are already stealing from the national coffers.

Nothing like a fool who thinks he is educated. A mind is terrible thing to waste.

I deal with facts, not rumours, conjectures, sophisms and mirages. The fooolish education you have is what makes you base decisions on those four things mixed with inane worship of platitudes.

I still don't understand why Nigerian politicians make so much money. THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING. why do anybody in their right mind need more than 200,000 monthly in a poor country like Nigeria. wow, Nigerians really need to do something about this people. 70% of the country live below the poverty level and politicians are living lavishly for what?

Look at you trying to sound like an intellectual by simply using vocabulary that is above your pay-grade. I have no time for people who make asinine statements and people who use the Thesaurus in order to make themselves sound smart. Let me clap for you since you believe you have a strong grasp for the English language.

My education surpasses your own, but you do not hear me bragging about such non-issues. Now run along and let grown men discuss a topic you know nothing about.

Like I said before, in a civilized society, the people would have done something to these thieving politicians like they did in the French Revolution and the Iranian Revolution. That is the problem with have an uneducated populace. And even some so called "educated" individuals like yourself do not see the writing on the wall. That is quite sad.

Gombe State Governor to retire with 200 Million

A Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday admitted a letter written by Mohammad Danjuma Goje, the governor of Gombe State, and his deputy, John Yoriyo, to the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) as evidence in their lawsuit against the organisation.

The two men are challenging the powers of the commission to ask them to refund the pensions they were paid after their first term in office.

Mr. Goje and Mr. Yoriyo paid themselves the sums of N200, 072,505 and N100, 025,388, respectively, as part of their benefits when their first terms in Gombe State government ended in May 2007.

However, in a letter dated August 18, 2007, the RMAFC asked the governor and his deputy to refund the money to the state treasury. It stated that the pensions they received while they were still in office had no backing of the law. The governor ordered the RMAFC to retract the letters and when the organisation refused, Mr. Goje and Mr. Yoriyo filed the suit.

Through their counsel, Joe Kyari Gadzama, the men are asking the court to declare that the RMAFC lacks the mandate to dictate the ways in which state funds should be managed.

Second document refused

The two men also wanted to admit a copy of the Gombe State Executive Pension Law. The men claim that their benefits were in accordance with the 2008 law, even though they collected the money in 2007. They asked the court to declare that the law was competent and the benefits they received under it were proper.

However, the court did not admit the second document before it adjourned the case to July 19, 2010. The RMAFC’s counsel, Austin Sunday, objected to the admission of the second document, saying it was not in the gazette.

Mr. Goje and Mr. Yoriyo have also filed a sister suit against the RMAFC for defamation of character. They are demanding N750, 000 each as damages. They claim organisation circulated its letter among state governors and speakers of state Houses of Assembly and caused them personal injuries.

The men want the court to restrain the organisation from further distributing or publishing any words or material connected with its refund demand.

It is funny how people like to use their supposed "superior intellect" even though people like you cannot even create a proper sentence in English. The hypocrisy is amazing.

Bayelya Deputy Gov goes home with 120 Million each month.

The deputy governor is used to a different style. He was used to being in charge when he was acting governor. That transition and shock of adjustment has been affecting him. As deputy governor, he had the reputation of squandering money. I have been managing him.”

Refuting an alleged report of crippling the activities of deputy governor as a result of inadequate funding, Sylva said Ebebi’s overhead had been N120 million every month before the global meltdown began to effect the fortunes of the state.

According to him, “we all halved our overhead; my overhead is spent by the Government House, but his overhead is personal to him.

Let’s us not forget that Dimeji Bankole spent N52billion naira (about $350 million) on foreign trips in two years and nobody has probed him for that? He was so arrogant to say that his useless trips brought investments to Nigeria. Only a total revolution can bring about the desired change in Nigeria.

Watch the paedophile Yerima walk by at the beginning of the video below as Gbenga Aruleba gives info on the bastar'ds monthly income.
It is a well known fact that Nigerian politicians are the highest paid in the whole World. It is also well known that Nigeria is built on corruption and blatant oil theft; do you yet see the connection with our politicians pay packets? . . .Palms need to be "legally" greased to open the way for the maintainance of cabals and conduits of illicit wealth need opening (such as, the distribution of oil blocks as patronage, sale of govt infrastructure like transformers etc. . . )

The blind eye is being paid for! Rubbish "laws" need to be written and fine tuned to perpertuate a rotten, inept and wicked system that habors paedophile law makers.  cry cry cry cry cry

A good example of the kind of reasoning that guarantees Nigeria's doomed fate.

Ethnic division will NEVER allow Nigerians come together to destroy the institutionalized culture of greed, "ogapatapataism" and mindless embezzlement.

There is no hope for that useless country, just do your best and pray to die a happy person, or better still, get out of that dungeon! Anyway, the fact that thousands of Nigerians line up at US, UK, etc. embassies everyday means that many are already taking the latter suggestion.

facts.

At the moment, the lawmakers (house of rep members) earn about N27.2million per quarter.
however what they are asking for if allowed would bring their quarterly payments to N42 million.
with 360 lawmakers involved - that comes to an untidy sum of N15.1 billion per annum and approximately
N60.4 billion in 4 years

@ appro 42.million * 4 (quaters in a yr) = 168 million for one member per annum

then porate the other figures.

hope it adds up now
