I was parlaying a market research idea to a friend the other day and his response was that no one cares about the truth in Nigeria. His case point was the Presidential "approval ratings" is "rigged" because its not really based on actual user responses. I drew his attention to product research which, in my opinion, should be a priority for any manufacturer out there. My argument was that every company at least wants to know what people actually think about their products. In this instance, at least, actual data from real people is important. Are there any market research professionals here? Are my assertions correct? Do companies still conduct market research in Nigeria? |
