Thanks. Having read it up. I used to feel pain and tingling on the foot in the past, though that has stopped. There is no accompanying fever.

It's highly probably that your lymph vessels are blocked or unable to carry lymph fluid away from your tissues, hence localised swelling is experienced.
Once you start experiencing fever, it simply means you have got some form of infection (take paracetamol as a precaution, and visit your nearest hospital ASAP)....

Which is why I am suspecting lymphedema..... I would suggest you buy compression leg straps and keep legs elevated while in bed and sitting out for long periods.....

Observe for a week and feed me back.......
