Spanish champions, Real Madrid have ended their search for a new coach as they appoint Spain's Julen Lopetegui as Zidane' successor.

Real Madrid announced the appointment of 51-year-old Spain's coach, Julen Lopetegui as the successor or Zinedine Zidane, and he will pick up the reins of coaching the club immediately after the world cup.

Julen signed a three-year deal at Bernabeu that will see him remain at the club till 2022, just a few weeks after extending his contract to be Spain's coach to the end of the 2020 European Championships.

Real Madrid announced Julen's appointment as the club's new coach on their website with a statement that read:

"REAL MADRID CF ANNOUNCES THAT JULEN LOPETEGUI WILL COACH THE FIRST TEAM FOR THE NEXT THREE SEASONS.

"JULEN LOPETEGUI WILL JOIN THE CLUB AFTER THE PARTICIPATION OF THE SPANISH TEAM IN THE WORLD CUP, AFTER TWO YEARS LEADING THE NATIONAL TEAM."

Julen Lopetegui Argote is a former Spanish goalkeeper, and one of the very few players to play for both Real Madrid and Barcelona. He had also coached Real Madrid's B team between 2008-2009.

A nice choice for madrid,i think he is the best option.

Lopetegui is a good coach but just underrated,i think he will do well in Madrid.
