- Enamelled in accordance with the commission of enquiry law to look into the very unfortunate circumstances in and around the NDU and Amassoma community in the month of May.
- to enquire into the civil unrest in and around NDU and the Amassoma community.
- To ascertain the immediate and remote causes of the civil unrest in NDU and Amassoma in the month of May.
- To ascertain the immediate and remote causes of the sealing up and vandalization of NDU.
- To fish out all the actors and promoters of the civil unrest.
- To determine those injured in the process
- To determine the extend of damage to properties
- To recommend measures to avert future reoccurrence
- provide other recommendations as the panel deems fit.
