The Reality Nigerian Opposition Must Face Urgently

Fellow Nigerians, we are now back to basics after the euphoria and giddiness of the June 12 reactivation and revalidation by President Muhamadu Buhari.

If the Nigerian opposition parties had thought it would be easy to defeat the incumbent in next year’s Presidential election, I’m appealing to them to re-permutate and re-configure their strategies. The political masterstroke by President Buhari demonstrated once again that the power of incumbency rests, not only in manipulating the electoral process and the security surrounding that process, but, also in manipulating policies and acts of government to enable the citizenry enjoy the feel good factor that can make them forget the ills and sorrows of the past. Please, permit me to speak authoritatively from my personal experience as a former Presidential candidate in 2011.

Catholic Priest Isolated for Contracting Ebola receives Healing

Recall that some months ago, a catholic priest; Rev. Fr. Lucien Ambunga of Congo was infected with the deadly Ebola Viral Disease while administering the sacraments to victims of the EVD during sick call.

Having contacted the virus, Fr. Lucien was quarantined and left in a world of isolation.

Recent report has it that through the prayers of the Mother Church and the faithful; Fr Lucien have been miraculously healed of the Ebola virus. Therefore, his parishioners and the lay faithful could not hold their joys as they lifted him shoulder high in Thanksgiving to God.

During a thanksgiving Mass he held today in his Parish at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, he quoted;

"I will never leave you nor forsake you, I will be with you, with my right hand of salvation I will uphold you" (Hebrews 13:5 & Deuteronomy 31:6).

See what a Father did to his 4 year Old daughter

Can you imagine this heartless situation? How can a father be so heartless? The father to this 4-year old baby girl has taken it far by beating this baby into a pulp. She can barely open her eyes.
The youngster was also chained up in a toilet and forced to do laundry in a tragic case that has been likened to the story of Cinderella.
The little girl was found in near darkness with both hands inside a plastic wash basin, scrubbing her father’s clothes. The little girl was forced to scrub her father’s clothes.
The shocking pictures were taken by a visiting relative and show her face badly bruised and swollen. There also appear to be burn marks left by cigarettes on her back. The unnamed relative said: ‘[Her father] regularly chains her up in the toilet before leaving the house at 6 or 7am, only returning at 10 or 11pm to feed her.’
