Professional pride and competence is something top professionals do not joke about and Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr is not happy with criticism about his formation for the Super Eagles in their opener against Croatia in a game they lost 2-0.

Jose Mourinho who had initially tipped the Super Eagles to qualify from their group criticised Rohr’s selection on Russsian broadcaster, RT where he is working as a pundit stating:

“I was sad and disappointed the way they (Nigeria) lost. ‎I looked at the composition of the team. On paper they have some good players.

“Croatia now look better placed to qualify from this group.”

Speaking on Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, he said: “Nigeria lost a good No.6 to get a bad No.10.”

Rohr has reacted angrily to this asking the rhetorical question: “Perhaps he wants us to play 3 No. 6s?”
