Learning a skill is the key to solve the current problem of unemployment in Nigeria, but most times we don't have enough patience learn some of this skills because must of us is feeling desappionted already with our degrees. but i join to encourage everyone to learn a skill today.

Some of this skills requires some money most especially when certificates is to be issued. I raise money to pay for some of my training and data cost just by running this app on my computer https://earnmoney.network/get-paid/?today=GO:307615 I open the app first thing on my computer and then minimize the application then before i do my normal browsing. The application works on its own, you don't have to do any thing just let it run on the background of your computer that has internet and you earn money to take care of other major training and expenses. Unfortunately, this application only works on computer.

you will always come and defend mediocrity. you have this plant and that plant... how many are functioning at maximum capacity.read through my post and understand my point.. Majority of the cars on Nigerian roads are imported , simple. its not about having this or that,, I never said you did not have it. How many are working at full capacity. Are we supposed to be importing used cars from abroad? if those plants are working at full capacity, wont the level of unemployment reduce by a good number. The steel factory, how about refineries and many I cant even remember now.
@ bolded, just as I expected, limited knowledge in the topic but yet we go show say we sabi. read about the whats happening in Kenya and South Africa as it concerns blockchain... these are African countries I mentioned . You are there saying new but nations have start up solving problems using block chain already. Block chain is nit just a bout crypto.. this still new mentality is why Nigeria is always late to the party. what IT skills are you talking? App development? many apps developed that dont have a problem they are solving. you are not a developing country, you are an underdeveloped country. Again, the problem wih Nigeria is not skills. The problem with Nigeria is are are a big 'cosumer' and dumping ground economy.
You see...it is people like you that are the cause of many of our problems in Nigeria. You talk and operate from a faulty premise, and when people try to enlighten you, you start forming Einstein, when in fact you know nothing.

In your previous post, you were touting the fact that Rwanda had a car assembly plant, in your bid to sneer quietly at Nigeria. sad I pointed out that it was not a new thing, because Nigeria also had car assembly plants. What is mediocre about pointing that out? Do you have any data to suggest that the Rwanda car assembly plant is operating at a higher capacity than the ones in Nigeria? So what are you whining about?

Next you went on to wail about the lack of info on Bitcoin. undecided I pointed out the fact, that it was a new technology worldwide (not just in Naija), and as such info on it, was limited. Even though it is new, different people have organised seminars and workshops on it, locally. i still attended one last week. One reason why it is not gaining ground in Nigeria, is the lack of regulation & info, because people are sceptical to put their money into things that they do not understand, especially if it is unregulated. Do you expect govt to now come and educate people about it? No, the private sector & its' businessmen who want to make money out of it, should bear that burden.

Finally, you decided to rant about Nigeria being a consumer nation. sad Yes, we are a consumer nation. All the big nations in the world are consumer nations, including the US which consumes tons of goods and services, annually. The only difference is that they have a manufacturing base and superior infrastructure. Now, instead of wailing about what a consumer nation we are, an enlightened and intelligent person would proffer solutions on how to develop & strengthen Nigeria's manufacturing base, and improve its infrastructure, while aligning its domestic economic policies in a way that would stimulate growth of industries, MSMEs, and the logistics network to boost its manufacturing and distribution capacities. undecided

In Nigeria, we cannot afford to continue developing apps that do not solve pressing problems. sad We must develop technologies that address public needs, and boost developmental efforts. I don't know why this is so difficult for you to understand. Nigerians have an abundance of skills in certain areas, while they lack certain skills in other areas.

Now, if you are going to embark on another thoughtless rant, please get off my mentions. I do not have time to engage those with miniscule brains, today. undecided

the problem with your likes is they are quick to quote people out of context because they lack understanding and deep reasoning skills. You want to argue Rwanda is advancing faster than Nigeria. My point is simply Rwanda of yesterday has a functioning plant and attracting investors by the day whilst Nigeria of old isn’t still regarded as the poorest nation in the world. As for the data, google is your friend on how Rwanda’s has advanced. I do not need any sloth sayer to tell me the plant will perform going by kagame’s Record!
Again, you are limiting blockchain to bitcoin. There was no where I mentioned bitcoin. I mentioned blockchain technology. Google what blockchain technology is and you will see it is beyond bitcoin. Read and understand people’s post before you show your ignorance. I am talking blockchain not bitcoin and yes it is new. Is that a reason why Nigeria should wait and not tap into it the opportunities it presents? What info and regulation? Why are other nations embracing it fast? Oga you are limited by how far you can see.
Next time before you mention someone, make sure you have read and understood the post. Check through my first post on this thread, I advised graduates to learn skills in data science as it’s sought for all over the world. So what’s your statement about solution on . Go back up and read my post. You are just the regular ignoramus who is quick to display folly online. Nigeria is a consumer economy even to the toothpick level.... you no get sense to understand wetin I dey talk here. 60 years of oil production but no functioning refineries, no stable power and you are defending mediocrity. My solution to the problem discussed in the thread is up there as for Nigeria, I have none.

Rwanda has a functioning plant and are attracting investors, so bloo'dy what? shocked Are the car assembly plants in Nigeria not functional in your own view? shocked Where is the evidence that Rwanda's car assembly plant will operate at full capacity? Or what kind of illogical comparison is this oozing from you? Oya, hop unto a plane to Rwanda and settle there. Nobody cares. It will be good riddance to one less myopic joker like you.

You mentioned Blockchain in your previous post and I responded accordingly. sad Bringing up bitcoin & blockchain again now, is an attempt to digress and split hairs, in a silly manner. Both are relatively new, and those involved in the trade or industry, have to drive its acceptance and awareness among the public. It has little to with those outside their circles. Instead of wailing, ranting and lamenting cluelessly online, why don't you seek knowledge about the field and enlighten others?

I attended a seminar last week on bitcoin & blockchain technology, put together by a young firm who had reaped rewards from those who invested in it. undecided The owners are actively driving the trade, and not coming on to NL to wail about lack of info., on the subject.

The young man who developed Paga, as well as the bright guy who set up Interswitch are Nigerians like you and I. They did not go online to fling silly insults around or compare Rwanda to Nigeria, before they got to work and developed systems and applications, that transformed the digital payment space in the country.

Now apart from flinging insults around like a mentally challenged toddler, what else are you good at? Anyway, thank God everyone can read, and they can all see how ignorant and clueless you truly are.

People are so lazy. When I was unemployed I went to learn a skill and I did it in my bedroom.

Someone that can read , can't he sit his ass down and learn a skill. Today im paid a lot for that little sacrifice. It took me 3months with 4hours hard work each day.

Who ever is complaining is his own fault.

Bro could you plz give me the name of the skill you learnt?

How much should I charge to teach people how to earn like the attached image of my profile on Fiverr. I learned free and has been teaching people for free. Everything they need to start earning is in business section but they go to romance section to argue with us.

It all depends bro... Mine charge fee is 10k. I may consider to reduce only if Im convinced that the person is truly handicapped. I have taught some people for free too.. But recently, I stopped free lessons.

So, u alone knows the value of what u offer.

I would really love to learn graphics and coding. I wish I could afford it because it's quite expensive. Hoping I get a sponsor
you don't need a sponsor, you only need to have passion for learning. I'd suggest you learn these skills one at a time. Both are lucrative, but IMO, graphics is more fun and less tasking compared to coding, you can learn it in 5 months.

You can learn any of these skills at:

YouTube
Udemy
Lynda
Google
Stackoverflow
Nairaland
Udacity

There are many more I can't remember right now, all you need to do is to make more research, but most importantly, before anything else, sit down and choose between graphics and coding, then go all the way in.

It is very pathetic to me each time I see different jobs seekers moving in helter-skelter for interview invites that only needs few person to employ. These job seekers spend thousands daily on Transportation in a state like Lagos where there is hike in transport fares. The state of the nation is not helping us rather, this further buttress why "Job Seekers" needs to put their destiny in their hands. Recently, I went to meet a former colleague of mine at Workforce office, the population of job seekers trooping in and out was a hit back to back. This sets of graduates cut across all the disciplines and grades like 1.1, 2.1,2.2 and what not. I wept inside of me,and asked myself; Is this the true purpose of our acquired education? My answer is CAPITAL NO!
Dear Nigerian Graduates,
This is the time to wake up from your slumber. Awaking the spirit of I can do in you. Take your destiny into your hands. Face your worst fear and conquer it for good. We are not to attend Universities, paid fees and be a slave of jobs with our education. I thought they say education is LIGHT.
We have Army of unemployed graduates littering everywhere now. This is no joke. In fact is getting more higher daily with new sets of people joining the already saturated market and THE Universities keeps admitting. Gosh! I feel like dropping right now.
The only solution to this problem bedeviling us as job seekers is to look inwards and be REALISTIC about our life. We are in the IT era where you can learn so much skills and be comfortable with that SKILLS for life. I mean a skill that can generate you 6 figures. You heard me right. 6 freaking figures!!
Make a research with your internet, go to YouTube and learn a hot skills by your research . How can a graduate be driving OKADA in this Internet age WHERE soft skills rules the world.
Don't die in servitude all in the name of I'm a BSc holder and be paid pockets sized sum as salary . The truth is jobs are scarce now! Take your destiny and build it to your taste.
The ball is in your court today. Take Charge!

Oops!
I'm here to make common sense.

Truth be told a lot of Nigerian Youths today won't even take the bull by the horn even while the opportunity is staring at them right in the face.

There are opportunities, the real question is how ready are you to leave your comfort zone? How badly do you want something?

If you're a Nigerian youth or really anyone [heck, parents and aged people are even more ready than the so called youths] looking for an opportunity to change lives while making some money, send a mail to;

ruthaladi@gmail.com

Please no time wasters! If you know in your mind you're still ok with collecting money from family and friends and eating free food or complaining perpetually about Nigeria and its economy , please don't send a mail. Thanks!
