It seems that the South Korean giant Samsung continues to position its future Samsung Galaxy S10 as a device in which it will introduce new technologies. The South Korean giant Samsung is still working towards its next big releases. While the Galaxy Note 9 will be a more classic smartphone, the Galaxy S10 could be quite a revolution for the Korean firm, as it lets glimpse the latest report on its sound screen.

The well-known giant South Korean smartphone manufacturer, of course, Samsung is willing to turn the Samsung Galaxy S10 into one of the big balls next year 2019.

As its early release would join the use of new technologies that would allow it to stand out from the mass audience, making the new device one of the spear points of the sector in the next course. Among the new technologies that the Galaxy S10 will have already known the fingerprint sensor under the screen, which now joins a new technology of ultrasound.

What does this new technology consist of? Under the name of Sound On Display, the idea is that the vibrations that cause the sound will be transmitted through the OLED screen instead of traditional speakers.

As a result, the frames of the device can be further reduced and still offer great sound quality. A way to continue pushing the limit of frames without frames without having to resort to tricks like a notch.

The technology is not new, as LG, for example, already uses it on some modern OLED TVs, and could be considering taking the leap with its upcoming LG G8 ThinQ. However, both Korean companies have been advanced by a Chinese firm.

Vivo Nex: the proof that sound screens work

Recently, the new Vivo Nex, a final version for sale in markets of the Vivo Apex concept, was presented. Both this version and the premium model, the Vivo Nex S, have an on-screen sound technology called Sound ScreenCasting, which places all the sensors under the 6.59-inch OLED panel.

In addition, in the top-of-the-range version, the Vivo Nex S also has a fingerprint sensor under the screen. It is not available in all the lower half as it showed the Vivo Apex, but it is still an impressive technology without any doubt. With these two elements, Vivo advances to Samsung when implementing these new technologies. However, the Chinese firm currently only offers the device in their country, while Samsung may have the opportunity to be the “first” in the international market.
