WE PLATEAU MUCH

Somewhere in Niger area...
There are stories to tell; half and full,
from the things we see temporarily
and the things we can't see ordinarily.
Stories that make eagles sing. Dysphoria!
We Plateau much.

Oh! Our boys play to fight.
They hate to love too.
Did I tell you they hate growth?
Eeew! One of the many things they loathe.
We brought them here to put off their light.

Oh! Our girls fight to play.
They walk to swim too.
Did I tell you they love flood?
Eeew! They love it when it comes with blood.
We gave them guts! What can the gods say?
We Plateau much.

Oh! Our women part to meet.
They pull to push too.
Did I tell you they have this selfish desire?
Eeew! This desire that make our homes go haywire.
We feed them our deads: bones and meat.
We Plateau much.

Oh! Our men are here and there to taunt.
They will throw stones and sticks too.
Did I tell you they will gather?
Eeew! They will gather, but not together.
We've allowed them. Our men have Jos gun to hunt.
We Plateau much.
