Moflix is not even produced wholly in Nigeria. Always get your facts right bro.

P&G produces here. They are a large employer of labour, compared to moflix. Maybe when moflix starts manufacturing here, we'll see if they can stay for decades.

Mind you, they had started building the plant before Buhari came in. But just a year after it has been commissioned, it's up for sale.

Defend the man all you like. Just pray his perfect strategies don't rob you of your daily bread

moflix have started production in Agbara. They have a very big factory there..They are in control of 48% of diapers market now..That one of the reason p&G is bleeding now..They lost one of their cash cow.moflix is been produced by Hayat firm in Agbara

I am not a fan of Buhari.

The collapse of P&G's business in Agbara has about 5% to do with government's policy. It was killed by the greed of the workers there...especially top management.

You don't expect them to say they are shutting down because there are multiple frauds or bad business decisions.

that What people don't know. and worst is that since they lost the diapers market to Hayat they haven't recovered from the shock.Hayat gave them a deadly blow when they didn't expect it.

Running a production business in this country is never an easy one. Epileptic electricity supply and high tarrif rate is terrible.
The most annoying part is that the leaders are not proactive to see looming danger ahead

light isn't an issue at agbara. most area there can boost of 2days of uninterrupted power supply. The problem is that IKedc normally give them crazy bills at the end of the month.

That is a big lie. Hayat Kimya, the company that produces Molfix manufactures its diapers right in Agbara. They commissioned a multi-million naira plant last year. P&G's downfall is due to cost saving initiatives, poor management, fraud and stiff competition from Molfix. Their market share was overtaken within a couple of years of Molfix arrival in the market. And yes, I am an insider.

You just spoke the truth..Hayat Kimya dealt a deadly blow to P$G with their cheap Pampers. Even Ariel is not spared as,other cheaper alternative keep coming up day by day....The problem of P$G started when Hayat took over the market from them.

Even this fact is less than what the people there did to the company and their colleagues.
You will be surprised at the underhand dealings that sunk that place.

Unfortunately, most of the people who ran the company down let before the complete collapse.

When the news broke, I wanted to open a thread here to discuss the matters but I later changed my mind.
I knew it would clearly be turned into an APC/PDP e-fight.

The issue also gave me a clear understanding of the Nigerian problem, our leaders are very wicked but combined "wickedness" of the citizens cannot be compared to those of our leaders. Can you imagine a single employee in Agbara with less than #6 million annual salary owning a petrol filling station and a house in one of the highbrow areas of Ibadan?

We can cry as much as we like online, if we continue this way, we will be digging the graves for the generations yet unborn.

Very true bro . U damn correct o

Seems you don't know PnG, by thinking its a small firm, I've worked there before during my I.T, kinda surprised with this news I'm hearing about the company

Baba are they bigger than BlackBerry and Siemens? Companies make errors in business due to negligence on the part of their staff.

Haven't you heard of Toyota and other multinational auto corps recalling cars at major losses?

Business is a risk bro. No one is 100% immune except you don't want to grow.

The best you can do is try to minimise risk but when situations change, to become vulnerable

Buy or Borrow a few drops of sense, IPAD Yoot.
Abusing other tribes will not change your level of ignorance or change who you are.

Most of you just jump on threads and start typing gibberish.

What most of you dont know is that P & G is shutting down, not just in Nigeria but in four other african countries including Congo because itis being INVESTIGATED FOR CORRUPT PRACTICES IN AFRICAN COUNTRIES BY THE AMERICAN GOVT., SPECIFICALLY FOR MONE LAUNDERING.

If you think l am making this up, use Google and do a search on that phrase.
I am talking about an event that started yesterday, in the US Justice Dept.

The rate at which guys talk rubbish is rather annoying don't you know most companies in Africa that have a branch in Nigeria are always affected if anything happens to their Nigeria branch because Nigeria has the biggest market so companies invest huge here. Eg when Mtn was fined by buhari govt Mtn that was no 1 brand in Africa dropped to no 9 in Africa because of only Nigeria. Mtn has other branches in Africa but they were affected by buhari move. It's the same thing here

A responsible government will try and address the needs of manufacturers to make operational costs more profitable

Forget the P&G issue
Is Nigeria really a competitive place for manufacturing?
Nigerians are fraudulent and impose undue burden on businesses
Those who can get away with it try to game they system but a big western company like P&G can hardly risk being caught paying bribe

“It is so expensive to import these raw materials which are not produced in Nigeria. Other companies take the short cut by maneuvering the system, but we cannot,” a top official of the troubled firm disclosed

They didn’t state the reason why they are shutting down. The proposed products the plant is expected to
Manufacture are fast moving. Didn’t they do their NPV and IRR analysis and also take into consideration other external factors and risks.

Well I wish them well
they did but they didn't know an idiot like Buhari will emerge president

Yeah, my blueprints will work in every country. I am building the brand already, I will duplicate in a few cities in Nigeria before Europe before coming to other African countries, cos I need to have some Equity Investors, and having a European outlet will augment the brand and get in FDIs prior to launching in other African countries.
Ok sir. Seems you have it all planned out. All the very best with your business endeavours and God be with you all the way..
