Soldiers have been deployed to Abonkib in Obudu town of Cross River State and Mgbazerem in Vandeikya Local Government of Benue State to tackle killings.
State Security Adviser in Cross River State, Jude Ngaji, in a statement, said Governor Ben Ayade asked for the immediate deployment of troops from Brigadier General G. G. Ally Barracks, Ogoja.
The statement said: “Trucks of armed soldiers have already arrived the war zone couple of hours ago to stop the crisis and the operation is being coordinated by my office”, he said.
Ngaji said the crisis was caused by a land dispute over the boundary area of Cross River and Benue States which he had been on for many years.

I wonder why cross river state is fighting everyone... from Abia to Ebonyi and now Benue...they will sure lose in all fronts
