CHAPTER 1
Weekend is always a dead to the end for me at work, As a banker, the work must be done to the fullest of it so the new week can easily start afresh, I don’t rush home, why?, that’s just because I don’t have anyone waiting for me. A very successful and God-fearing bachelor, the Jumbo pay, the official vehicle and my official residence have always been boring. I am not a fan of going to work late, after taking my morning tea all is set for the day, the rules of the game is punctuality, honesty and hardworking.
This lovely Friday, I was cruising the new Toyoto corolla 2017, which was given to me by the company in the middle of the night on the street of Akure, the sound of hip hop gallivanted clubs and the standings by the road drove with me as i reduced my speed to that of the snail, stop overs were characterized with the approach of women in short and explosive skirts “olosho”, it has always been the same every Friday as big men take them away from the road for the affections of the night, I don’t have any connection with them, and indeed I was not interested, its only about 5km to my house and after the night of misery I can rest, so I raised my speed a bit, it was the next stop over, they approached with different sounds from different angle of my car, I could not, but hear them out so they can leave the burnet of my car, as I rolled I heard a big sound from the burnet of my car, with great fear, I moved out of the car to check what the sound could be, I cannot imagine I hit an “olosho” with my car.
The lady is down, she fainted, different voices rang into my brain, “You don kill am”, ‘sweet bobo, you wan do ritual”, “Leave her she go soon wake up”, with great tension and help from her co-staff, we moved her into my vehicle and straight to the hospital, with the injured lady in my vehicle, there were a lot of advertisement from her coworkers who will still want someone to approach their over packed fronts and backs, getting to the hospital that late night was a very difficult one, the nurses were already out in their dead sleep, I used the vehicle horn to call them out as they assisted me to carry her in for treatment, I was there till the next morning, I can just imagine how it would have been if I was in my house, it was indeed a sad evening for me.
7am in the morning I got up, the lady is still unconscious, I was worried about her, and all my wish was for her to get up in no long time, the nurse came in to change some things i don’t really understand, she adjusted her position and left reassuring me that she will be up in due time, when she was leaving I asked if I can see the doctor, she said no problem that I can come, I followed her to the doctor, entering the doctor’s office, there sat a little young man, good looking and probably of my age group, I approached him and told him about my worries, the Doctor whose name is Bolaji assured me that everything will be ok, and that I should sleep with two eye closed, he gave me the bill of #100, 000 to pay as quick as possible, I checked out of his office telling him I will be back in few hours, and that I need to freshen up and also get the money for them. I moved out of the hospital in my car.

CHAPTER 2
I got home at 9am, it’s a Saturday, imagine how my Saturday would have be like if not of the ‘hulabalu” I got myself into, sitting in my living room, I took every steps thanking God the lady is not dead. I went to the bathroom to take my bath, I moved straight to my bedroom to get clothes to wear, it was 10am, I took my phone and my ATM Card and drove off to the nearest ATM to the hospital, I got to the ATM point, lo and behold, it was big crowd, I had no choice than to wait until It was my turn to cash out, I withdrew a substantial sum of money and left for the hospital, on my way to the hospital I got some food at Chicken republic so I can have something for my “stomach infrastructure”. I got there and paid the money at their financial unit. Then I went straight to her ward, sitting directly opposite her bed, I had some thoughts in my mind, I was wondering what a beautiful and well balanced girl like this could be looking for, how on earth can she be a prostitute, more and more of this came to my mind and they were all rhetoric because my heart could not find an answer to each question, the truth of the matter is many people out there are not opportune to enjoy the life we live, fingers are truly not equal, let me tell you a few about myself,
I was born in Okitipupa 28 years ago to a very wealthy family, my primary and secondary school education was a very solid one, I had a nice and concrete financial foundation, academically and socially I am very ok, I finished my secondary school in one of the most expensive secondary school in Akure where all students there are children of the top class, after my secondary school, I travelled to the United States of America for my university, I am currently an alumni of the University of Pennsylvania, after my graduation at 22, I moved back to Nigeria for the compulsory one year NYSC program, after the program in Lagos I moved back to Akure , to work with a bank and since then everything have been so good to me, my father now a grown man and expect me gain experience about life before coming over to his company.
Mum? She is a very nice woman, my first love, I am the apple of her eye, she call every day to ask when I will come home with my wife, she did something 3 years ago which was very surprising, she came to my house with a young lady and said that “I have brought you a wife”, I can’t imagine the level of desperation she has, I was just short of words and I got myself out of the mess by telling her I will be coming to her house the next week with my wife before she took the girl and left. Dad is a successful oil magnate, he owns one of the most popular oil company in the country, Daddy is a busy man, he lives mostly in Abuja and at times travel out of the country to catch some rest.
Still on the chair, the lady on the bed begin to breath heavily as she come back to life, happiness was written all over my face, I rushed down to call the nurse, the nurse attended to her and gave her a little medication and said everything is assured, the nurse gave her water and I persuaded her to drink. Sitting on the bed with her as she was wondering, how did I get here? She asked, I told her I will explain to her when she gets better, now the doctor came in and did some tests, everything is okay, the lady is okay, she is sound and healthy, the doctor told me we can leave by the evening, I took out the food and gave it to her as she took little from it, I narrated everything that happened to her in series, she was wondering how, I told her she was dead since yesterday and that it was God that took her back to life, I left her to finish the food and asked her what could have pushed her to the job she is into.
