Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor disclosed this on Monday at the Government House in Makurdi while swearing in his Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Jerome Torshimbe.

Explaining the reasons behind his action, the governor said he has been sent out of APC and is currently exploring a new option to actualise his future ambition.

The governor has not, however, announced the party he will be joining, saying only that he is consulting with relevant stakeholders and will soon announce his next move.

Very good for him. At least the governor will have peace with himself and equally employ stringent ways on how to deal with the killer Fulani herders.

Good one. I feared that the Ekiti election loss could weaken those intended to dump the satanic party. But here, I am proved wrong by fearless Samuel Ortom. I want those who has the welfare of their people at heart to follow suit. Let's end this epidemic called "APC".

Very Tactical move by Ortom. He doesnt stand a chance against the might of George Akume,
who wrestled him and took control the APC Structure in Benue State during the last congresses. better to leave now than face embarrassment at the state Primaries

We saw that coming...interesting days ahead.

George AKume surely is in charge of benue Apc.Governor ortom actually stood no chance against his anointed governorship choice ........Jime has since been pencilled down by Akume to take over from him.My fears for ortom is that he has not done anything spectacular to command the level of followership that can help him sail through in this forthcoming political battle.Akume / Jime strike force is a deadly one.
