Fela Durotoye did not start today, I only urge you to go on YouTube and look for videos of Fela Durotoye from 10 years back. You would be amazed at what this man' has done from a young age, his passion has always been about bringing Nigeria to a state where we can compete with 1st world nations. The man has degrees in leadership from Harvard and Yale. The other aspirants in my opinion like Sowere might seem good too but in my opinion are only interested in fighting corrupt people, the same way Buhari came with no agenda whatsoever but to fight his political enemies and we have seen the result. No tangible development in 3+ years, only controversy, destruction and clashes everywhere.

Nigerian youths we need to stand up and see that the answer to our problems isn't chasing shadows. A visionary leader who knows how to create opportunities for growth is what we need. When poverty is eradicated, corruption would slowly but certainly decline.

You can't tell people not to steal when you don't give them jobs, you can't prevent them from importing goods to sell when lack of power, anti- security and poor logistics hinder local production. You can't stop politicians from stealing money when you join them to pay people to vote for you. Poverty would continue when you vote for these kinds of politicians, they have lobbied & paid you for the job, you have sold your freedom.

I am not asking you to vote for Fela, I just ask that you do a proper background research on all the aspirants and see for yourself who is more proactive in terms of development. Seeing all the Cabal in Jail would not put food on our table. We need visionary leaders not street fighters and from my personal research, fela has more vision than any of the other aspirants.

Corruption is a big problem in Nigeria as it is in other countries, however it is not felt in many other countries the way it is in Nigeria because we are tackling it the wrong way. One of the first things Fela mentioned when he started running for office that many of the other aspirants have plagiarized for their campaign without giving him credit, was the eradication of selectocracy from our party systems. People would not turn out to vote without being incentivised to do so because they were not allowed to take part in choosing the leaders they want to run for office in the first place. It's virtually impossible for a presidential aspirant to not be loyal to the godfather who gave him the party running ticket. The godfather invested money and wants to make a return on investment, they end up paying people to vote and when they get into office start making plans to recoup their funding and profit. This therefore makes the president weak and incapable of choosing his own cabinet or even arresting fraudulent elements endorsed by the godfathers. Fela suggested internal party democracy where common members not delegates are allowed to elect or be elected to stand as the running candidate of the party just like it's done in developed countries. This would ensure whoever wins does not only have the mandate of the people but is certain the same people would turn out to vote in the general elections.
Without this, we would continue to have leaders who turn a blind eye to corruption practised with impunity. We can tackle corruption the right way by first ensuring the government at all levels is at least free to stand their ground without fear or favour. This can only happen when aspirants become candidates without undergoing the investiture of some political godfather, Then we can start to see real justice in our system.

I however have gone to look up his 2015 congratulatory message to those who won the 2015 elections to see if he admits to campaigning for Buhari or anyone and I can't see anywhere he did that. Rather I see a man urging people to not rely on a few people in government to bring change but work collectively towards it.

Okay, did you watch his interview on Channels television some days back where he was accused of thesame. He denied it !

Even Channels show him a footage in far back 2014, were he was telling people in a gathering to vote against GEJ and vote for Buhari !. Infact, He was shocked !

The only interview I have seen of Fela sitting in a channels tv studio this year was in January, where he said money will fail in 2019 elections, he wasn't shown any video neither was it spoken about. I have searched through Channels tv logs online and haven't found any interview where the things you have mentioned transpired. I believe if this video exists it would be everywhere online. Kindly post a link if you are certain this actually happened.
