The Itakpe-Warri-Ajaokuta Standard gauge rail, the first standard guage rail in Nigeria, abandoned since 1987 completed and being test run. The rail is very critical to the Ajaokuta Steel Complex for movement of raw materials and finished works.

I have followed the story of this project since the current administration decided to complete it and got Julius Berger back on site to complete the rail project in 2016.

Itakpe Ajaokuta rail is to transport the heavy iron low phosphate from itakpe to ajaokuta. So its a good sign that its now up and running.

Honourable Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi can be seen Inspecting Ajaokuta- Itakpe Warri Rail Line.

After 34 years Ajaokuta- Itakpe Rail Line has come online and will begin operation soon.

Target is End 2018/Early 2019. That’s the Timeline, barring any (unforeseen) delays

The rail line from Warri is passing through Itakpe, Ajaokuta, Agbor and Ore, with six stations along the route.

One more reason to continue to support the Buhari administration
