A Good Reminder About Nigeria Economy Before And Now. by hushpapi(m): 11:52pm On Aug 02, 2018
Buhari wasn't president when factories in Ikeja began browning off and selling their facilities to churches.

PMB wasn't here when 80% of SME died away and the rest went on life support.

Buhari wasn't president when landlords were being watched charging rent in US dollars and stores were selling in hard currency.

Buhari wasn't president when wheat farming collapsed and Cote d'Ivore overtook us in Cocoa production.

Buhari didn't destroy Iwopin paper mill or ALSCON in Ikot-Abasi, a single factory that at a point brought in 30% equivalent of what we got from oil.

Buhari didn't take us from net exporter of oil palm products to lazy importers of the same. Buhari didn't make us importers of petrol and diesel nor is he responsible for killing of the textile industry. He didn't destroy our forest resources or ran down power stations like Egbin until only three out of twelve turbines work.

People shout policy but there is no policy that can transform a 'post-war' economic environment with the snap of the finger and government should just tell the people that this thing is what it is.

Government also has to water down expectations on oil prices ever rising above 55 dollars because it is just not possible in the age of Shale and renewables. This nation is cornered and it has no choice than to reform it's lifestyles and go back to work. It has to reform it's justice system such that it can jail it's thieves and reward those who do things right.

We are refusing to allow hardship nudge us in the right direction but prefer to explain our woes as a personal failure of Buhari to draft policy from sheer air. Where are your farms to save you from food importation or your refineries to save you from seeking dollars to import fuel? Where are your schools to educate your children without sending them to foreign universities when you can afford it?

Buhari met all these things that way and we have the choice of working with him to restore and rebuild the country or allow ourselves to get us into false sentiments, take advantage of us to return us to the years of the locust. ‎

The Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company (WRPC) is now in full Operations and all the 10 Plants are working optimally. This did not happen for almost two (2) decades. Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode (junkies), Haters and Wailers will never say, trend and hawk it. Never!
+++++++++++++++++++++++
Remember that Obasanjo,Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and Diezani Allison Mmadueke were using WRPC to siphon money from the Nigeria’s Treasury for 14 years, all in the guise of Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) on the Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) What a cruel act against the Nation and her citizenry?! To prove that these cruel souls are the arch-enemies of Nigeria/Nigerians, out of their sheer greed, they resolved on to sell the Refinery when they were no longer contented with stupendous amount they were looting in the name of TAM.

Please, note that Goodluck Jonathan and Diezani Madueke are natives of Ijaw nation. The Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company is located at the back of their fathers’ compound; on their own native soil.

It is my pleasure to remind you that, Warri Refinery and Petrochemicals Company was awarded to Snamprogetti Spa Milan, Italy (an Italian firm) in 1975 by (the former Head of States) General Yakubu Gowon, the construction was accelerated and completed by Mohammadu Buhari during his tenure as the NNPC Chairman and Petroleum Minister.

Without making noise and draining the Nation’s Treasury, the “certificateless” Fulani man from Daura has gotten all the 10 plants at the WRPC functioning optimally in his less than 3 years in the office as the Nigeria’s President. While the certificated Goodluck Jonathan, Diezani Madueke and others used the WRPC to loot Nigeria’s Treasury and failed to revive the refinery.

Nigeria Media will not talk about the great achievement because it is not a bad news.

Ex President Ibrahim Babangida presently lives in a 50-room mansion on hilltop in Minna
Ex president Abdulsalam Abubakar that ruled for less than ayear currently lives on hilltop in Minna built by Julius Berger.
Ex president Olusegun Obasanjo currently lives on hilltop mansion, complete with N7billion library in Abeokuta.

Buhari's modest three-bedroom bungalow is located a few metres off Daura Kwangolam road, next to the Daura Shagari Low Cost Housing Estate.
The building is almost nondescript thus attracting no attention.
And this is where ex governor of present 6 Northern States, ex petroleum minister,ex head of state, ex PTF chairman, current sitting President of Nigeria lives?
I thank God that PMB came in my life time.

Of the 10 aircrafts he met on the presidential fleet, 2 are about to be sold, 2 had been donated to our air force, while 2 are currently undergoing repairs.

Since Buhari became president, his wife has been to Hajj and Umurah in SaudiArabia twice, to UK for daughter's graduation, to US twice for invitational engagement, then to Europe recently.
In all her travels, she has never used any aircraft in the presidential fleet but, rather, commercial airlines.
Was it not in this same country that the wife of an ex president traveled with over 60 women just to shop in hong Kong, using one of the aircrafts on the presidential fleet?

Even if it remains me and my household, PMB will forever remain God-sent.

A sitting president who can give out his daughter in marriage, with less than 30 people in attendance, in his sparsely furnished apartment is a rare breed.

One day, in my old age, I hope to gather my kids and grand kids and tell them stories of PMB, the man that once ruled Nigeria with a spartan lifestyle.
You may share it if worthy to be. May Nigeria succeed.

How you guys talk as if you know every single property owned by anyone baffles me. OP if they call you today to swear now with the destiny of all your children unborn that Buhari has no other property in any other name be it in his children's names or anything like that? If he has stolen funds in the past or present and used it for personal gains, if he has stolen in value the same amount those men you listed up there stole, if his hands are not clean (Not counting innocent mistakes o) and you are here saying otherwise, let your lineage end with you. Will you swear to it with all confidence?

So you are not in Nigeria abi. When you say PDP destroyed Nigeria who where those people in charge then? Look at your APC and tell me if it's not comprises 70% former PDP members.
The problem of Nigeria is not PDP/APC.. It's the individuals elected because I know that PDP is doing great in Rivers State and APC is also doing great in Lagos State while in anambra State APGA is God sent
So when you are voting next year, vote individuals u know or think that will deliver ....

I said this because if you are from zamfara, taraba, or benue states you will have different opinion or if dasuki and saraki is your political god father .. will you be singing this music?

Tears grin cheesy grin so you are this wrongly emotional? What has your tears got to do with a man who is not willing to listen to voice of reasons to fix the little he could do but busy compounding Nigeria woes with his archaic style of leadership when all what he needed to do was engaged capable hands across the country but choose to mallamize the juicy and sensitive positions in government by placing his mallams friend in strategic places in the power, petroleum, works, roads and agriculture ministries......you look at his stance on insecurity then you are not crying for the bereaved that died unnecessarily under his wicked watch..... Here you are crying for a made man whose unemployed son could afford to purchase two power bikes for millions of Naira......if I am your uncle you will go on compulsory 3 days hunger strike for being this shallow in reasoning and unnecessarily taken by one useless emotions.

That is, man's inhumanity to his fellow man. No zombie, claims, PMB is perfect. I see, on all SM platforms, his supporters, still condemn, his response to security challenges. Not, blindly, hailing him, unlike obtainable with other sycophants!

It has abated recently, in Benue/Plateau/Taraba. Let's wait on Zamfara.

If GEJ he had been half as responsive as this, he would av been rounding up, his second tenure.

We call them children of hate for a reason , while the writeup looks like copy and paste , the description therein and factual points are just beautiful , If Nigerians misses this opportunity with Buhari , Nigeria will be doomed
