Before you start spiting rubbish, where in the Constitution of the Federal Republic did you see a provision recognising traditional institution? The fact that we assumed a republican state in 1963, to get rid of the remaining form of British monarchical heritage does not mean we shouldn't preserve our own precolonial traditional institution which was dismantled and displaced by the colonialists while imposed their own on us.


By the way, traditional institutions are subjected to the law of the House of Assembly of each state. Every state is responsible for the existence of their own traditional system. Nothing concerns FG about them. That is why you never heard 'minister for chieftaincy affairs'. I am sure you must have heard 'commissioner for local govt and chieftaincy affairs'.

I tired of people making this grave mistake when I tell people that akiolu is not my king they tend to generalized his kingdom. but those who know history knows his power is within the highland only Epe badagry and ikorodu are kings on their lane
