A 23-year-old rape victim identified as Khensani Maseko has committed suicide after she apparently could no longer deal with the trauma of her rape experience.

When we trend the #StopRape hashtags, we don't just do it for fun but for the sanity of humanity.

Maseko was a Rhodes student and SRC'16 Law student who slipped into a severe depression after she got raped.

The deceased who was also a Rhodes Independent Electoral Board Member and Miss Varsity Shield 2017/2018 actually cried for help but trust social media and what it could do to our existence as human beings, people paid little or no mind to her cry for help until she took what she felt was the easiest route to escape the hurt.
