What Does It Mean That Jesus Is Creator? by Maamin(m): 2:52pm On Aug 08, 2018
The Bible teaches that Jesus was the creative agent through which God the Father acted to make all things. Moreover, Jesus "uphold[s] all things by the word of His power" (Hebrews 1:3), acting as the ongoing sustainer of the universe.

Ephesians 3:9 and Hebrews 1:1-2 affirm that God created the physical world through Jesus Christ, but Colossians 1:16-17 further clarifies that Jesus also created even non-physical things such as positions of authority: ”by Him all things were created … visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

This does not mean that God the Father was not involved with creation, or cannot also rightly be called the Creator. This is seen in the creation of man when God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Genesis 1:26). The use of the plural pronouns indicates the involvement of both God the Father and the Word, who was the pre-incarnate Jesus (John 1:14). Hebrews 1:1-2 states that God the Father created the worlds through Jesus, showing that they were, jointly, the Creators. Further evidence for the unified creative role is found in Ecclesiastes 12:1, which says, “Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth…” The underlying Hebrew text is actually plural here and says “Creators,” acknowledging both the Father and Christ.

Therefore, the biblical conclusion is that Jesus Christ was the agent of creation at the will of the Father, and that both the Father and Jesus were involved in the planning and design of the universe. A succinct way to express this properly is to state that God is the Creator, with the term “God” referring collectively to God the Father and Jesus Christ. This linguistic convention is used in Genesis 1:26 and elsewhere throughout the Bible to denote both beings.

neither the mythical son of a Jewish carpenter nor the Jewish mythical god that likes mount Horeb created Nigerians. Even the story of Noah, where was it written that Noah left Israel to warn your African ancestors about global flood telling them to come with their Okapi, Galago, Wildebeest and other animals to the ark? Of course they didn't, they didn't even realise there's a continent somewhere outside their own little world

Nothing concern their god and you so stop famzing them. You're in a country off the coast of west Africa. take a look at an atlas, try to locate Israel on that map. Now think of the cultures, government, people, lands, history you'd have to journey through if you were to walk to Israel from where you are....... so a creation myth from there applies to you? I pity your level of gullibility

All this and still no clear expression of what it means that that nothing was created without Him, Jesus Christ. I guess my question is why did you even bother writing this block that says nothing? undecided

In Genesis, we are told that God spoke things in to being. Those words spoken by God is what Scripture refers to as the Word of God --- the Word out of God's very own mouth --- and in the same Jesus Christ is described as the same. Jesus Christ is the Word out of God's mouth by which all that was created was --- without Him nothing was created. undecided

Jesus is God's FIRSTBORN Son in the spirit realm while Adam is God's FIRSTBORN Son on planet earth.
The firstborn in the spirit realm continues to give all the glory to his father and God that's why he remains approved by God but the firstborn on earth became rebellious and lost it all.
If Adam never died who would have been the Son of God to whom all the advancement in technology would be ascribed?
Is it not Adam? smiley

Scripture is anything but ambiguous. Be careful not to foist your ignorance or lack of comprehension on the book in arrogance. undecided

Only a delusional person like you won't see the ambiguity in the scriptures.
Using credulity instead of comprehension to read the Jewish books.

Your tales of lost sheep of Israel you like repeating is missing in book of mark, the earliest to be written.

Tell me who told Jesus that he will follow him everyone he goes, was it a scribe or a Samaritan?
