Dear Setters.

It is alleged that FUTO will adopt the Decentralized Exam Writing system.

What this means is that students from a department will no longer write in one hall. Rather, they will be spread across different halls according to the allocation. This also means that one exam hall would contain students from different departments.

Here is an example:
Suppose the following persons are 500 level students of FST,
Ann Zachary
Bola Yetunde
Clara Xavi
Daniel Wole
Eugene Vivian,

And they have FST502 course to write on a Monday, then will have to check the decentralised timetable to know the venue they will write the exam.
The timetable may posit that:
Ann Zachary — Hall of Mercy
Bola Yetunde — SMAT complex
Clara Xavi — GST building
Daniel Wole — 500 capacity
Eugene Vivian — SAAT auditorium.

It is because of this Decentralised format that no department has published any exam timetable yet until the decision is approved.

Hence, while writing your exam this semester, the following scenario may ensue:

The person sitting by your left is a 300 level AEC student. The person by your right is a 100 level OPT student. The person at your back is a 200 level SVG student and the person at your front is a 200 level student who is with a drawing board and is trying to rewrite ENG101.

Imagine FUTO shocked shocked Anyhow they want it tho

What the Decentralized Examination System actually means?

The decentralized examination system is not what we all think it is. What it means is that students of a department will be writing exams in their various exam halls. The decentralized examination system does not actually concern we the students. It focuses more on the lecturers.

It has been found that most students do negotiate with their lecturers in a situation where one is caught in an examination malpractice they will go scot free, due to the illicit agreement between the culprit and lecturer has. The decentralized examination system means that lecturers in SEET will be invigilating departments in SOPS and vice versa with other schools(faculties). That means you'll be seeing various lecturers from other schools/department everyday. This is a new system implemented by educational institutions to tackle examination malpractice.

Please as students let's tend to ask for information and not circulate rumours.
Thank you.
