True. But labourers must be paid their wages, that is sacrosanct.

I reason with them. It's so hard for many states at the moment to pay 18k minimum wage and labour is now advocating for 56k. How will they cope?

In my opinion, the principle of federalism that we all like talking about should be applied. Each states should be allowed to determine whatever it has the capacity to pay based on negotiations with state chapters of organized labour. If we are to wait till all states concur to the proposed new minimum wage, we may have to wait till eternity. NLC and TUC should conclude negotiations with federal government and let implementation start at the federal level.

Monies spent in the presidency should be slashed...while the actual people moving the country should be paid...

How can Buhari cut his hair with billions every year? Which hair?

We willnnever get anything right in this country until we do the right thing?

The question now is, what is the right thing?

Restructure this country and let states harness and manage their resources with decentralization of power etc.

That way many things can be solved.

Some have oil, some will go into farming, some will export snakes etc and then every state can determine what its minimum wage would be with a law or policy that no state should pay below a certain amount eg 30k
