I think the law forbids officers of the NPF and other security agencies from drinking and perhaps smoking while on duty. It does not portray the force in good light when officers are seen drinking and smoking with their uniform on while on duty. Sadly, it is a common trend across the country. I witness this anomaly every other day.

ask yourself this simple question:"if a police officer is a smoker, can he have a smoke break during his work or not? and if yes, cant that picture be such smoke break (or is it a requirement that a police officer MUST take his uniform off before lighting a ciggy during such smoke break)?"

There is nothing like 'smoke break' in the law guiding the NPF. Officers are not permitted to do that while on duty.

let me guess.... they are not allow to go to the toilet or have food either, and MUST work for 8hrs (or more) non stop without a break abi?!? if that was remotely the case then no wonder these people are losing their goddam mind and putting all their frustration on law-abiding Nigerians.

sadly, the reality is that smokers will smoke, whether it is during their lunch break, toilet break or any other time they will find.

as much as we hate these guys, let us try to be honest with ourselves.

You probably don't get it. They can eat anything they want on their break, however, drinking and smoking are prohibited while they are on duty.
