It is no news that Nigerians will be going to the polls come 2019. With a number of politicians declaring their interest in occupying the seat of power, one begins to wonder who amongst them is credible enough to lead the country to greatness. President Muhammadu Buhari has played a key role in redefining leadership in Nigeria with his unquestionable integrity but many still believe there's still more work to do especially in the area of economic development. He is a strong contender should he maintain his stance to contest next year. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is widely believed to be the one that has the potential to turn the fortunes of the country around as he is experienced in job creation and being a key participant of the Obasanjo regime, he might just be another good option to consider. Kwankwaso is another leader with massive support. Being the former Governor of Kano state and haven registered his interest in the Presidential race in APC primaries in 2015, he is not a newcomer in the race. If he wins the party ticket, he will surely give his opponents a good run for their money as he is from one of the key areas that decide the outcome of elections with their vast population. Donald Duke is another good contestant. The former Cross River State Governor is a technocrat and many believe he represents the new generation of leaders Nigerians want. He has a good record in the area of governance and he is one to watch out for. Ahmed Makarfi is also a contender. Haven stirred PDP out of the storm, he may be another man to watch out for as he deserves some respect for his role in reconciliation of aggrieved members of the party.
